Do you have a favorite firearm?
Or a favorite caliber?
Which do you prefer, Rifle, shotgun or handgun?

My collection goes from .17 cal. to .50 BMG.
But the older I get the more I like my .22's.
I can shoot all day and still have my shoulder and hearing intact and have enough money left over to afford an adult beverage when I come off the range.

My favorite firearm?
The one pointing at a bolshevick!

Yes, when I said Thompson I meant a Thompson SMG, .45 auto with a 30 round clip or a drum. I fired on long ago and it was great. I know you have to have some kind of special collectors license to own one.

You have to go through a class III dealer and pay for a $200 tax stamp and an extensive background check and then spend probably spend $35K+ for the firearm,

The prices have gotten out of sight. And the background check is the same as for a silencer.
Back in the 70s and 80s they were cheap to buy.
I would rather have the binary trigger.

All three AR-15s (one chambered in 22LR) are fun to shoot. Just got a Ruger SR1911 that's a joy to shoot. Now I know what everyone was talking about. The one with the most rounds through it is a S&W SD9VE. About time to buy a safe. What's everybody's favorite bourbon?

The one I'm drinking... Otherwise, George Dickel, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam or ....

My favorite home defense weapon is my 12 guage Mossberg.

Although I have a wide range of firearms, like you I am fond of my 22s.

Mostly because I am much more proficient in hitting the target with em'.

I'm particularly fond of revolvers and although my autos have high capacity mags, I like toting my revolvers because I just like the cowboy look of em'.

I do have a 9 shot 22 revolver that is a JC Higgins and it's one of my favorites.

I could go on talking about this all day but I'll shut up and wait to read the other comments.

All the diversity in different types of guns keeps all the gun makers in business. I'm really glad that everyone doesn't like the same weapon.

I have always liked .22's, and think the .17HMR's are a blast, 225yd headshots on ground squirrels are routine with the Anschutz. I also have a .17 CZ Varmint w/Browning 6-24x and a .17 Savage semi auto with a Vortex 6-24x.

I shoot on my property so I don't have to go anywhere, got a Mountain Lion a few years back that made the mistake of k*****g two goats and coming back to eat them.

Nope just buy it from a dealer and pay a one time $200.00 tax. The same as buying a silencer.

No you need a special license to buy a machine gun

A dealer has to have a special license but an individual does not. I will do more research. Did the research and typed in this.
What are the requirements for buying an automatic Weopon?
Answer
Be at least 21 years of age to purchase a machine gun from the current owner.
Be a legal resident of the United States.
Be legally eligible to purchase a firearm.
Pass a BATFE background check with a process time of 8 to 10 months.

Checked several places and you do not have to have any kind of special license unless you are unlucky enough to live in a democrat run state with stupid laws that go against the U.S. Constitution.
