This will put the anti-freedom democrats into cardiac arrest.

Do you have a favorite firearm?
Or a favorite caliber?
Which do you prefer, Rifle, shotgun or handgun?

My collection goes from .17 cal. to .50 BMG.
But the older I get the more I like my .22's.
I can shoot all day and still have my shoulder and hearing intact and have enough money left over to afford an adult beverage when I come off the range.

Guns do not make you a k**ler. I think k*****g makes you a k**ler. You can k**l someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

My favorite home defense weapon is my 12 guage Mossberg.

Although I have a wide range of firearms, like you I am fond of my 22s.

Mostly because I am much more proficient in hitting the target with em'.

I'm particularly fond of revolvers and although my autos have high capacity mags, I like toting my revolvers because I just like the cowboy look of em'.

I do have a 9 shot 22 revolver that is a JC Higgins and it's one of my favorites.

I could go on talking about this all day but I'll shut up and wait to read the other comments.

A Colt army special double action revolver chambered in 32-20. It is a tack driver but ammunition has become rare and costly and the thin walled casings make it a tough reload.

Daisy Red Ryder BB gun. Both of my kids learned with them, and each grandkid does, and will do the same.

My home defense gun is a Weatherby PA-459 12 gauge pump.

I've got plenty, but I as well really dig the .22's, and .22 mags.

Folks could argue all day about calibers, and such. I won't argue any of it. I'll just state my preference.
For a hunting rifle, and what I hunt, the .25-06 is the one. Hit a hog behind the ear, and it'll drop like a bag of wet cement.
There's my two cents for now.
Let's call it a dime due to inflation.

I have put some venison in the freezer with a .25-06 using 117 grain Nosler Partitions. They go nose down in their tracks with good shot placement.

My favorite rifle is a Number 1 Ruger carbine in .45-.70. I reload and like 300 grain bullets best. I occasionally load 500 grain bullets but not very often as the recoil is noticeable. If I need new brass I usually purchase 405 grain government rounds but at $1 or more per round pulling the trigger hurts more than the recoil.
My favorite pistol is my 1911 .45 ACP. I use 230 grain full jacketed bullets.
I don't know if I prefer a rifle or a pistol but my scores always have been better with a pistol.
