I’ve read your biased unsupported opinions and unsupported reply’s you post in reply to more liberal views on this forum . I could take your words above and change two words” bunch of “GOP” underpowered… and “progressive” to conservative and it would be easy to say the same BS as you and be as valid as your opinion. No facts just unsupported, biased opinions from apparently biased sources.

This forum should be to discuss opinions supported by facts from all points of view. We are individuals ( not Republicans:Democrats) we all owe respect of and to each other to civilly discuss our views, understanding better each others views and supporting thoughts vs putting everyone in a box and name calling or degrading others just because of their affiliations.
That said there are a lot of solid citizens working to understand others views, voice theirs and civilly discuss differences and supporting facts. Another group that puts people issues in “political “ buckets only their view is right, won’t listen to others that differ in view regardless of facts, name call and degrade others of alternate view not trying to understand differences and where we might agree. I’m not always right my opinions are supported by inputs I get on this forum, various news channels (includes Newsmax, Fox, OAN, MSNBC, CNN, NBC & BBC.) Formulate my views and opinions. On occasion I write to my congressman actions I feel need to be taken. (Inflation, immigration,pro choice with pro life base, e******y for all are a few I’ve addressed)
So of the two groups I try to by a part of individuals trying to understand others with respect for all by exchanging thoughts civilly.

He has access as well, hopefully he reads this, regardless we both agree that civilly responding to these posts is the best way to respond and understand others and keep exchange of views flowing. We are all individuals whose opinion on this forum should be listened to, respected and responded to civilly or left as is.

Just because someone has a different opinion( which we are all entitled to) doesn’t mean we are stupid, facists, c*******ts, etc, we just have different views and talking through and understanding those differences make us better understand each other, find our similarities and allows use to agree to disagree where we can’t find common ground on a given issue and move on to others. Supporting opinions with facts helps. One thing I’ve noticed is that many times a needle in the haystack is brought forth and statements are made that the whole haystack is needles which is far from the t***h. Like all democrats or republicans are c*******ts, all or most people crossing the border are rapists, crooks or criminals, . We can’t be putting individuals in boxes and say they are all bad because of their affiliations. We shouldn’t be taking exceptions, one offs and making them mainstream happening all the time to justify one’s beliefs. This is happening with current rhetoric or a******ns: Democrats and legislation exists that allows k*****g babies after birth I’ve heard. Truely doesn’t happen often and truely only law in one or two states and if so those laws should be changed if they truely allow that. Being touted that all Democrats support k*****g child after birth.
Again I agree with you that EVERYBODY should be civil.

You can respect their right to their opinion vile or not, but don’t have to respect their hatred and can call them out or challenge their opinion with facts and non civil responses called out as well. I don’t pity them they are who they are. I may pray for them though.

I hear you, some of the folks on this forum are very harsh and show hatred for others that don’t agree with their views and name call and justify it as something it isn’t. I hear it understand it, call it out, ask for civil discussion vs hatred. Let facts prevail!

It’s the world we have morphed to, it’s not right, but we cannot give up on morality, respect, civility, exchange of ideas in our responses to reduce hatred, polarization of people in our country. Each of us has to continue to fight for right.

When did this partisan divide moving to gridlock in government, distrust of government, media, each other if in different affiliations, when did individuals avoid talking politics in public, when did families no longer have associations with other family members. When did name calling and constant lying become the norm?

Trump did not create this but he clearly expanded and exasperated the h**e and discord in the USA, for the past ~8 years( his running for President until today)Conspiracy theories are rule of day, you repeat it enough it becomes real. Partisan media and unfiltered internet are adding to discontent.

Trump is anti democracy gas to fire trying to destroy USA. Conservative Democrats and Republicans need step recognize this and step up to right the USA democratic republic.

I DISAGREE WITH YOUR VIEW THAT THE LEFT ARE AVOWED ENEMIES OF EVERYTHING WE HOLD DEAR.

Note: I was an independent for years until I realized the power of party platforms and how little influence independents in Congress had unless they were a swing v**er. I lean to conservative democratic side at this time, and clearly I don’t feel that me and other ~80m active Democratic v**ers are avowed enemies of everything , and I don’t feel the ~70m conservative republican v**ers are avowed enemies of everything.

Most of us are all still individuals with the characteristics discussed above. We need to continue civil discussions on the issues vs adding our own gas to the fires of partisanship. The most harmful wall built in the past eight years is the partisan walls between Republicans and Democrats, cross the wall and you are the enemy. That’s one wall that needs to be torn down.

Name calling and h**eful rhetoric will not get us there.

Civil discussions of our differences listening to and accepting facts, holding professional organizations ( police, lawyers, judges, doctors, accountants, congressmen, etc) to aggressively police their own and have consequences for unethical, immoral behaviors.
Continue value add discussion of issues between individuals and not stop just because one has a different affiliation or that the other side are all radicals and all totally wrong. Everything is not political.
