That should take care of some of them, but not necessarily those whose goal is to suck all the joy out of other peoples' lives. those are best just ignored.

Religion will save no one. Not even the he religion of Christianity. The only thing that saves is a personal relationship with Christ Jesus Himself. There is a world of difference between a man who has a religion with his wife and the man who has a relationship with her. The true Christian has escaped from religiosity into a personal relationship with his/her Lord.

It is written: "I [Jesus] am the Way, the T***h, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me [Jesus]." John 14:6

It is written: "For as many as are led [relationship] by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." and "The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit [relationship] that we are the children of God." Romans 8:14, 16

You guys have it your way. The Bible states, Jesus Christ, laid the foundation and He chose Paul as the master builder, of the new covenant,(the Gospel of Jesus Christ). He said follow me as I follow Christ. If anyone comes and preaches a different teaching he would be damned. Anyone adding to or taking away from the Bible would be damned. These denominations and religions do these things and are counterfeit. The Bible warns us about this. Maybe, you don't care about your souls, but maybe, just maybe others on here do and will research these other religions and the Holy Bible and find the t***h. So call me names, claim I'm insulting others, but I don't care. I rather insult them, if that will get them thinking. You people in these counterfeit religions, Satan has dream up better wake up.

To Oliver and Jetson, inorder to be saved you must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ--you are expected to read the bible and live according to the 10 Commandments, develop a good prayer life and to belong to a religious group helps make that easier. Protestant, Catholic Jewish or any other.

Maybe. But our personal relationship is to be with the Church, not directly with Christ. This keeps us in the world!

This is curious. My God is big enough to include your view and mine.

For me, the Christian life is not about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reading the Bible, or, least of all, following the Ten Commandments.

"No-can-do." The Church can save absolutely no one. It is the Church who has been saved by her Brideg***m, Christ. The Bride (Church) is required to have a RELATIONSHIP with her Brideg***m, Christ, BEFORE she can effectively be the "salt" and the "light" in the world. Apart from the primary relationship in Christ there can be no Church. Only those that have that relationship with Jesus Christ are members of His Church.

Really? Did you not read what you wrote? From where did the word "Christian" come other than from Christ Himself. Apart from Christ, I doubt if there would have been any such word as "Christian".

Thus, apart from a genuine relationship with Christ, [and here you are right] Bible reading and obedience to the 10 commandments (or anything else said and/or done in the name of religiosity) commends no one to God.

Apart from any positive relationship that a man has with his wife, all that he says and does only falls on deaf ears. Once that loving relationship has been established, all that he says and does from then on only helps to further develop that relationship. "Commandments" flowing from a heart of flesh are gratefully followed while "commandments" written in a heart of stone result in open r*******n.

Because a woman loves her husband, she joyfully reads all the "love notes and letters" (scripture) he sends her way. And because he loves his wife, he joyfully acts upon her every "commandment" (spend time with me and the kids, wash the dishes, do the laundry, take out the trash, etc., and etc.).

Moral: Nothing good can flow from a bad relationship.
