Thank you, AuntiE.

Those both express my personal opinions, well. My personal conviction, however, sides with the dissenting opinion. Though I am thankful that it was ruled the way it was, because of my state's rejection of my personal convictions.

Big hint for you. As like you, my representatives have no wish to hear my opinion. My opinion does not fit their agenda. I have found two or three senators whose offices I contact. In each case, they have been polite and receptive. I make sure, before calling, to clearly and concisely put in writing my thoughts so as not to take more then a few minutes of their time.

Is it your contention our Founding Fathers lacked the wisdom to realize life spans would possibly grow longer?

Federalist Papers#53: "[53] A few members of Congress will possess superior talents; will by frequent RE-e******ns, become members of long standing; will be thoroughly masters of the public business, and perhaps not unwilling to avail themselves of those advantages. The greater the proportion of new members of Congress, and the less the information of the bulk of the members, the more apt they be to fall into the snares that may be laid before them."

It could be said it is six of one and a half dozen of another. The longer they serve the more indebted. The newer owing for the funds utilized to win.

I have a question that as an American citizen, former 4 year vet soldier, and now disabled sheriff.....
what does "we, the people " stand for any more ?

This is my question and anyone with the specific knowledge please feel free to jump in with the t***hful answer.....

We, the people, to me means We, as American citizens are the govt...!!!
We elect persons to a term, to carry out our countries business, so that as citizens we may do our jobs to support our families.

Spineless politicians and spineless conservative, us!

Now, has anyone tried to contact their congress person and get a t***hful answer recently ? Or, is it a mimeographed return letter digitally signed?

It seems that We, the people, are NO longer in charge...

We pay a congressperson a salary of $174,000. for only
78 days out of the entire year, with their own v**ed in health care plan, salary increase they v**e for , without our input, a retirement plan that anyone who is breathing would envy to the 'nth' degree, and they get this pay for ONLY serving one term....with full pay at retirement along with the health plan paid for by us, and the salary and health plan is for life..... !!!

Now with the stroke of a pen Obama can shred the constitution at his own pleasure, and no one says a darn word ???
Last I heard it takes 38 state legislatures to ok changes to the constitution.

So, I would like to know why the following items are not put on the (November National B****t) for We, the people, to v**e on, ...as We are the govt ? correct ? yes ...

("i******s -"amnesty")...yes or (no)

("i******s") ...go home ...(yes) or no

(Stop all "freebies" immediately, let them (self-deport)
They receive a "monthly" salary from our pockets of $3,805. plus ...free food stamps, free school breakfasts
and lunches, free medical, free housing,....sign me up...!!!
That all together is better than my sheriff's pension of $4400. and I had to get shot for it,... by the way...

("gun control") ...yes or (no)

("term-limits") for all congresspersons ... (yes) or no

( no one older than 80, or no longer than 20 years,
congress or supreme courts )) yes

I await your answers, thank you...jer

It is my opinion, perhaps just optimism, more people are waking up. The basis is small; however, two friends who paid insufficient attention are now wide awake, researching, reading and learning. You start with two who then influence two more who influence more and so it grows.

If we take those numbers, we should start at age 20. That is the age closest representative of the v****g and active adult populace. That number, you will note, stays relatively fixed not at 35-45 but rather at 60 from 1850 all the way through 1900. Infant mortality being the most significant change in that period.

That the life expectancy from 1850 to 1890 fluctuates less than one year for that group, extrapolating backwards one might drop that to total life expectancy of 56-58 for 20 year olds in 1770 (two forty-year periods prior.) Unless, you can think of some medical marvel that I haven't considered.

The sad part is in reality, ..we simply don't have time for the slow process of waiting until people "wakeup"...that is the biggest problem....Russia and Germany never woke up in time, and you all know happened there ...
We are supposedly 17 trillion $$$ in debt. If we demanded the STOPPING of all the "freebies" to just "i******s "only, that would save this country near 1/2 trillion $$$ yearly....
We send Africa 6 billion $$$ each year, we give Egypt 16 F-16 fighter planes, a few free billions there , who's objecting ....NOBODY...!!!( which will wind up being used against us, more dead U.S. military) over one million U.S. troops, 3 my close buddies died with their spurting blood all over me)
obummer is a muslim, everybody knows it, so why aren't the FBI or U.S. Deputy Marshalls office doing something ????
Supremes are old men, I'm older, but its true...they are NOT on our side...Ch. justice Roberts swore he wants to destroy the U.S. Constitution...Does anybody ever read what's available ??? I have to go and puke...!!!

I'm to darn old to do anything now, but, I don't like : just blogging, --that's B.S. , what we need is planning and ACTION...Enough of this talk and "blogging....Use your heads and V**E everyone out of congress next e******n...regardless...!!!

C*******ts pretending to be "educators" have brain washed many Americans into buying the LIE that government makes up the rules for everybody. Today's young people for the most part have zero knowledge of the American Founding fathers or the creation of America. No knowledge of the importance of Christianity in forming the United States Constitution. Ignorant of the importance of the Ten Commandments as given by Moses in the Old Testament being the foundation of Western Society' s laws.

BigEagle, get involved in precinct politics, that would be on the local level. If you want more information send me a private email on this site. Most of the precinct seats across the nation are not filled, all we need to do is fill them with like minded individuals and then we can take over the Republican County Executive Committees and then the state party. If you attempt to do this be aware you probably won't life long enough to see the change.

You ARE NOT to old to do anything. Research your candidates. Volunteer to stuff envelopes at home. Ask what a candidate you support needs that you can do. Only when you, myself and others do the "grunt" work instead of looking for "glory" work will campaigns be successful.

Please don't give me your "look for glory b.s." I also happen to have a stroke and am blind in my right eye...would you like the rest of my physical disabilities...? I've contributed to my country and to my neighborhood, and to my God....so your barking at the wrong dog ...get your self some one who has done nothing...for God nor country...I've served very proudly in all I did...!!!
