I agree with you, but since that tactic worked against Trump, you can ABSOLUTELY COUNT on then employing exactly the same tactics against any non-Democrat who runs against them. We must find ways to counter these attacks.....because there is NO WAY to avoid them from now on.

Inflection, eye contact, choice of words, posture, general comportment, gravitas, strength of conviction.
He's good, but, he's not the leader we need now.
DeSantis would suffice holding the f**g after the battle, not during the battle.

Yep, Republicans need to learn how to fight back with even dirtier tactics than the left uses. Right now, Republicans take the high road...and lose with dignity, but lose.

I am against Trump running for reasons I have expressed, and they are valid. In a perfect world, IMO, Trump would throw his full weight and support behind DeSantis, with Cruz or Rubio, or maybe Greg Abbott, as VP. He still might, though I suspect not. No future position for Trump should be announced before the e******n, because of his unfair branding. I think a DeSantis ticket, with Trump behind him, would win.

I think the high road is the correct one. Perhaps it is my Christian nature, but fighting hard is not the same as fighting dirty. I will not participate in the kind of tactics the left/Democrats use. We need to find hard, solid, and honest ways to defeat them. If we follow them into the pit, then what We The People will wind up with will be no difference between the parties.

I think that if DeSantis runs, it is a sure win for Democrats. If Trump does, there is a possibility he will be able to pull off a win. I sincerely do not think DeSantis has anywhere near the fan base Trump does, which means a guaranteed loss for Republicans if he is nominated. It would be much better if De Santis got behind Trump and supported him and campaigned alongside Trump, rather than against him. That's why I mention the plant. I have to wonder why De Santis would want to do that to America. Now that Trump has announced he wants to run, DeSantis should back off. It is too late for him to go against Trump.

What DeSantis does will tell the story....and if he screws things up for Trump, I will go ahead and wonder if he isn't just another way for the 'Rats to c***t.

Mikey, no one is asking you to kiss DeSantis, so you need not worry about his breath. IMHO, He is very definitely a conservative Republican.

You are correct in that DeSantis does not (yet) have Trump's fan base. But he also does not have a list of NEVER EVER Trumpers that includes virtually ALL Democrats, the vast majority of rino Republicans, and the majority of independent low information v**ers. Those folks will NEVER v**e for Trump. Many of them MIGHT for DeSantis, if he runs a good and honest campaign, and embraces conservatism nationally like he has in Florida.
That's my take on it, for what it is worth.
