The end times is to be looked forward to, not afraid of. The end days will bring peace, not a firry hell. I could go into where that would came from, but I will let you do the research. It is not doom and gloom, but will be a time of celebration! Good news for both Jew and Gentile. We, as Jews, pray for the coming of the Anointed One. And with him will come the end of days.

My bad. Maybe thirty years ago I used the word parousia. Sorry. But I have to say all this End Times stuff to me distracts from Jesus. We are all to live as if this the is the very second before our death. Threats of impending doom for the world does not convert; the HS converts. End Times talk is vanity and of no consequence. Sorry, I have given a lot of thought to this and that is what I believe. I could be wrong, of course, but felt the need to share.

For me, the present is looking too far away. I have no need to look for a peaceful or fiery end to the world as we know it. I like football and barbeque.

I like BBQ, but I am a vegan, so got any squash or green peppers to put on the fire? My husband, may God grant him peace, loved football and baseball...the day he died, he asked if he could have his dinner in front of the TV because a game was on. When I went to check to see if he needed anything, he was in his favorite chair, a smile on his face, and he had passed away. There is much to be said about living a peaceful life!!

The significance of this gathering of God's Jewish flock back to Israel is that it is an indication that the return of Jesus to gather His "Christian flock" is getting close. Please don't ask me how close because neither I nor anyone else knows the answer to that question.
But what we do know is that in the generation that Israel becomes a nation again, all prophesy will be fulfilled, including Christ's return. Matthew 24:32, Mark 13:28. His apostles had asked Jesus when he would return and what it would be like at the end.
In answer to them he told them the parable of the fig tree, which Christ commanded us to learn. "When her branch is yet tender and it puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh. Likewise when you see all these signs, you know the end is near."
Hmmm, let's see, Israel became a nation again in 1948 and that's when the last generation started. The only question remaining is, how long is this generation.

Sorry, I did not know that this is your private conversation("just because you hear (or read) a conversation, doesn't mean it was meant for you."). I will butt out, I had no intent to intrude.

Ginny, you can butt in on my conversations any time you want...the analogy wasn't to imply that you can't make comments....blaze away...you are always welcome to talk to me.
