Exactly!

There are multiple misquoted Hebrew scriptures in the Greek bible.

The Virgin birth story is a good start.

Whoever wrote the book of Matthew mistranslated Isaiah 7:14...by inserting the word "Virgin" in place of the original word for "young woman"..

The virgin birth story is a pagan deity story.

All of Christianity's solemn days are pagan.

You could actually do your own study of that mistranslation.

No...you ARE lazy!!

I use the word-for-word translations of the Interlinear, NASB, KJV, NKJV and the Amplified which are excellent translations if you're seriously going to study the Bible.

But in the case of a beginner such as yourself I would suggest you might sink your teeth into something like the NLT which is a thought-for-thought translation that is an easier to read format.

Uh-huh. I have seen that claim before and did not get hung up on it since there is more in the NT to show she was a virgin

How do you see the church adopting pagan traditions over God given holy days.

Christianity is consumed with all manner of ancient idolatry and religiously kept pagan holidays.

Why would a merciful Creator change over to pagan customs and holidays?

Did he not punish the Israelites for adopting the way of the nation's?

Christian apologists admit that Jesus didn't fulfill messianic prophecy.

They say that Jesus will fulfil those prophecies on his second coming.

And then the same Christian apologists condemn the Jews because they didn't accept Jesus because of his failure to bring peace and many other messianic promises.

I've been reading your "discussion" and have finally decided to reply. My answers are simple and succinct because the Christian faith is also. But I may add that there are also layers upon layers of deeper meaning as you delve into God's word. But I digress...

I am a bible-believing Christian who believes that the Bible is the 100% inerrant word of God. That being said to answer your questions:

How do you see the church adopting pagan traditions over God given holy days: It’s unbiblical.

Christianity is consumed with all manner of ancient idolatry and religiously kept pagan holidays: You’re confusing non-biblical Christianity with biblical-Christianity.

Why would a merciful Creator change over to pagan customs and holidays? He didn’t.

Did he not punish the Israelites for adopting the way of the nation's? Yes God punished them but when they turn back to Him He always forgives them because they are His bride.

Christian apologists admit that Jesus didn't fulfill messianic prophecy: Prove it.

They say that Jesus will fulfil those prophecies on his second coming: Jesus fulfilled numerous OT prophecies at His first coming and will fulfill numerous more at His second coming.

And then the same Christian apologists condemn the Jews because they didn't accept Jesus because of his failure to bring peace and many other messianic promises: I don’t know of any bible-believing Christians that condemn the Jews.

The virgin story most likely came about via a blending of early Christianity with Mithralism...

It's one of the more interesting controversies of the NT...

If a person celebrates pagan holidays, they are a pagan...quite simple.

A point you seem to have missed....why would God accept pagan festivals and other man made traditions in place of His pronounced holy days.

And if God doesn't accept paganism as a sanctioned activity....how on earth can one have a personal relationship with God.?

Paganism is one of the highest forms of idolatry.

How can a person claim to please Him while
being pagan?

God uprooted and enslaved his Servant (Israel) for adopting the same traditions that the church faithfully observes today.

I know God forgives and you pointed that out about the Hebrews.

They didn't have Jesus as a middle man either.

If Jesus and the Father are the same, who was Jesus praying to in the garden that night?

I can't lead you all the way through all of the differences between the Hebrew Bible and the Greek bible.

They are two distinctively different religions.

Matter of fact, Paul did everything he possibly could have, to cover up Judaism.

Still none of you biblical scholars have produced a Jesus resurrection prophecy in the Hebrew scriptures.

We had one attempt, but by simply reading the context of the given scripture, it clearly proved to be about King David.

No it's not. The Holy One is capitalized. The NIV is a poor translation to use when studying the Bible canuckus.

Query: Since Hebrew doesn't include capital letters, how did you make the determination that "Holy One" should be capitalized????
