Son, you can deny, deny, deny and/or deflect, deflect, deflect all you want. But, those passages and others on the following websites are taken directly from the websites listing Biblical passages on immigration. Remember, I was responding to your challenge for Biblical passages on immigration. Not my words, mind you, but the titles & many various groups on the websites/links provided countless passages. Yet, as I suggested previously, you can't or won't accept answers that don't align with your mindset.

It can be assumed from your response that you consider yourself a more knowledgeable and devout Christian than the groups in the links provided. One also could well assume you consider many Christians other than yourself to be RINOs, or Religious-In-Name-Only.

BTW, I don't contact or hear from A****a or B*M in any way, shape or manner. If they read this forum, they have as much opportunity as you or others to partake in the discussion. Maybe they did receive it.

I hope you realize that since the time that the Romans crucified Christ, Christians have been dividing themselves into more and more denominations. I hear tell that there are even some quite liberal churches who like Barak Obama. I know it is hard to believe.

The point I am so brilliantly pointing out is that with just a minuscule amount of effort you likely can find Christian groups who see i*****l i*********n any way that YOU need them to see it, so as to fit into your argument. I am fine with that tactic. I most probably would do it to you if things were reversed.

This I believe started because tactful posted a picture of a crucified Christ with the caption saying that Jesus said we should welcome immigrants. I actually do not consider myself especially devout or knowledgeable about the Bible. However, I know just enough to question that statement.

Using the Bible to bash Christians is an old tactic. I have been on many liberal boards over the years, locking horns with some intense ex Christian Atheists who know the Bible backwards and forwards better than you or I will ever know it. I looked up what I needed to know when I spoke to them. I think I can do the same with you if our conversation goes on.

I am happy that you get to enjoy your children grandchildren and great grandchildren. One thing I am in agreement with the Bible is the way the Patriarchs thought of descendants. The more the merrier.

Yours might be a pretty good argument, Son, except that there are Biblical passages on immigration throughout the Good Book and as well throughout many links you can pull up on the internet questioning such. And, as I remember it, I only entered this matter when you challenged Tactful to "Please recite the passage in the New Testament where Jesus speaks about immigrants" - [quote/Son of witless]

Actually, the only relevant point in our exchanges is that I responded by answering that challenge. Whether you, I or anyone believes in Biblical passages that pertain to immigration is beside the point. As evidenced by the countless examples listed on numerous threads, they are definitely posted there by many Biblical scholars.

Following her earlier persuasion, I am now gon'na watch a movie with my wife, The Sgt. Major.

I am always up for an argument when somebody uses Jesus or the Bible to basically call Christians hypocrites. I have taken on far worse then on OPP. I generally win by attrition. People get so s**k of me they just go away leaving me victorious.

Only in your mind.

I recall my grandfather's speaking of his banty rooster strutting around the chicken pen as if he was the 'cock-of-the-walk'. In that sense, as I also told Sicilianthing, you remind me of The Black Knight in Life of Brian...all bluster and no substance. Like Sici, you have become one of OPP's laughable caricatures, and not to be taken seriously.

An empty vessel, so to speak. Well...not empty, but rather full of himself.

We have no score keepers here. So far I have not run afoul of the referees, some of the stories I have heard have caused me concern. It seems that many on the left side are thin skinned bomb throwers who cannot take a punch and whine to the refs.

I always count it as a win when someone cannot answer my very innocent questions, or they call me a N**i or a R****t. By that measure I have long lost count of my many victories.

To Son and Parky: As was mentioned in a long-ago exchange, being a political forum, OPP is chock-full of ideologues. As a result, with respect to their intense personal views, many on it are viewed as int***sigent and or incorrigible. They often seem similar in thought to what George Constanza said in a Seinfeld episode, "It's not a lie if you believe it." In other words, I have had similar comments directed as me. C'est la vie.

As an old proverb says, "What's good for the goose is also good for the gander." My earlier words to Son were meant not so much as a personal affront as it is an unfortunate reality for many OPP-ers. However, we all should remember the quote attributed to Ben Franklin, "If passion drives you, let reason hold the reins."

As I just told one of your comrades who similar to you, seems to be offended by my generous self confidence, the ego thing is merely a comedic device. As you know the conversations between yuse guys and we who are right, can sometimes get messy. You know, feelings hurt, bruised hearts and the like.

Humor is like lubrication, to keep the friction down. S-A-R-C-A-S-M is my preferred form of humor, but it keeps getting me into trouble. Many including those on " my side " seem to be far more offended by S-A-R-C-A-S-M than by my high opinion of myself.
