I would like to see the reference to the color of skin, or ethnicity not used when reporting a story about a crime, or heroism, or an accident or wh**ever. I notice that if there is a shooting, the news media include both person's ethnicity or skin color-it really has no bearing on the story. If I am red and shoot and hit a person, it is not because I, as a person am red in color, or yellow, or brown or black, it is because I, as a human being pulled the trigger of some sort of gun, and upon pulling that trigger, the bullet was propelled from the gun to the person's body-the gun does not care or ask the color of the person shooting, nor does it ask the color of the person who is the recipient or intended recipient of the bullet. So, why even mention it? A white person shoots and k**ls a black person-what does the color of skin have to do with it? The motive, later determined may have something to do with it, but that is usually not ascertained until later. People shoot and injure or k**l people-period. So if the goal is to stamp our r****m-a worthy albeit impossible goal-that does nothing to aid in that process. I can still be a r****t though I never voice those thoughts. I can still be a r****t, though I treat everyone the same way-it does not mean I believe that all people are equally worthy of that treatment. That is not hypocrisy, that is called going along to survive. IMHO,R****m is an evil that is here to stay-it is born of fear or p***e-ignorance or arrogance.

I want to be superior at wh**ever endeavor I'm involved in. That means I need to develop my sk**ls, drive and attitude to achieve this. It doesn't mean I will always be the best, but it doesn't stop me from trying. If some one is better than me, I will work harder to pass them or make them work harder to stay ahead of me. The same is true if I am the better one. I will work hard to stay ahead and cause someone behind me to work that much harder to catch or surpass me. This is the way that teams or organizations improve and become long term leaders in their sport or field.
When individuals receive unearned rewards or status, they will most often fail miserably and have no appreciation for their status or rewards.
