So far, in America, we donโt choose who lives or dies according to their value to society or their age......especially a Christian who is guided by the Holy Spirit and the lessons of the Bible! ๐ฟ๐บ๐ธ๐๐ป
Cheep shot there TexaCan, you condemn where somewhere lives then talk about Christian and the Holy Spirit. Not very Christian of you.

Nothing cheap about it! He disrespected all those with type 2 diabetes! I just corrected what he assumed!
If you agree that America should choose who is given the v*****e because of their abilities to serve society......leave America! ๐ฟ

I you'd bother to read my post I think you'll see I don't agree with that.
As far as leaving America, I'd wager my family has been here longer that many on this site and I've got geology to proof it My people came to America In 1792 on the ship Rebecca.

Mine came on the Mayflower! ๐
And some of mine were here before the Mayflower, Columbus or Leif Erickson.

Should smokers have priority over elderly patients when it comes to getting v******ted?
That doesn't even make any sense

Should wealthy people be getting shots over the rest of us ,it's happening all across this country. B***h about that .

Personal opinion...
Alternatively, young smokers are of greater value to society than elderly retirees... And smoking is legal..
Perhaps it should depend on their employment status...
I h**e to admit it. Everything you said is true. Not nice, but true. Of course you mean economically. Morally I would dispute it.
Wh**ever it is, the damn politicians should be last on the list after what they have put us through with their arbitrary decisions without facts, only best guesses and opinions. Screw those bastards.
The initial question makes sense and any body who doesn't think so, doesn't make sense. Front line health workers first, then the first responders and the elderly in confined housing, Then those over 75. Some very stupid people don't think they are worth it because they are no benefit to society. They are what society is about. When someone thinks they are irrelevant, that someone is irrelevant to society on morality, and so should go back with the politicians. Then all of those that lost jobs or were severely cut back or lost their homes because of lost jobs, etc. They have suffered the most of anyone besides those that actually got C***d to any degree. Then those over 60. Then most of the rest of society. Union public employees should go back just above the politicians and the school teachers. Yes, the school teachers who have held our kids hostage while pretending to teach remotely and ruining young vulnerable lives, when all the medical people have said all along that it is safe to hold in person teaching, and when done has proved safe.
Logically Right

Offering two viewpoints, with a possible alternative... That's called critical thinking...
I agree, it is somewhat lacking in the US...
China has been administering the v*****e to first line responders and high risk groups for the past four months.... Smoking is not a factor they consider... Interesting that Americans would bring up the topic...
And for as long as you have privatized medical care, you do indeed choose who lives and dies based on their value to society...

Type 2 diabetics is a disease! It is NOT because of an unhealthy activity! Maybe a little more research! ๐ฟ
Our son-in-law is a healthy 50 year old that has never drank, never smoked, and has never been over weight! He is a picture of health except for a very serious battle with his disease! He and our daughter and 15 yr granddaughter had the v***s......both adults were in bed for a couple of days, our granddaughter only had a HEADACHE!
Another bit of info on diabetes! I have a very mild version! There are days that I donโt have to take any medication.......and it has nothing to do with my diet! I eat sweets almost everyday....always have, especially chocolate! My Dadโs nickname was Slim which explains my metabolism. My point.....it is a disease and in my case, was expected. It is very prevalent in my family! I inherited it.....like millions of others! ๐ง
A diet can effect a personโs blood count, some more than others, especially if the person is unhealthy to begin with........but donโt compare type 2 diabetes to a person who chooses to ride a motorcycle, eat too much, who canโt run a mile (another questionable statement), or who drinks excessively! Those conditions are chosen, diabetes isnโt!
Type 2 diabetics is a disease! It is NOT because ... (
show quote)
It was my understanding that type 2 diabetes was connected to diet and lifestyle... You're correct, it is not... I withdraw it from the list...

Sometimes a cheap shot is all a person has... When the alternative is engaging in meaningful dialogue...
Odds are she'll tell you to leave the country๐๐๐
