Forgiving oneself is nothing any of us can do. Preposterous, in fact.

Romans 8:1-2
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death."

It’s always important to seek the forgiveness of those we have knowingly hurt, even if it is hard to do. Jesus said that if “your brother or sister has something against you … First go and be reconciled to them” (Matthew 5:23-24).

They may not forgive you, of course; having the same free will that you do, they may reject your attempt or react with renewed anger, but then it becomes their problem, not yours. You will have done everything you could to let them know you regret what happened, and that you seek their forgiveness.

That is important to God. The Bible tells us to “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone” (Colossians 3:13).

If you’ve given your life to Christ, you have an important reason to seek the forgiveness of those you’ve hurt. You now have an opportunity to tell them how God has forgiven you — and how He can forgive them also. No matter how much you’ve wronged others, it’s small compared with the wrongs we’ve committed against God. And yet He still loves us, and Christ stands ready to forgive us.

Believe God's Words or wallow in your past transgressions, and any imagined harm you might have done to others, your choice, always.

Forgive is the wrong word, accept our shortcomings is better. Only Christ can forgive. Our actions that harm people have many hidden and visible ripples that we cannot comprehend. The damage we do cannot be forgiven because we have no clue as to the extent of the hurt we created. It could be in simple things. Injuring another in any way may make them cross with others, which can cause ripples and ripples and ripples. No way to repair or make amends. Wrong to forgive.

Great post. This is one area where Satan is very effective for many - remembering past sins instead of leaving them behind. I have been guilty of that more than a few times. It can be difficult.

OMG, you are too much. Anal, picayune garbage. Pathetic. Is Jesus God? Do I really have to add the Father and Holy Spirit when they are all one. The Trinity is not a democracy where they need a two-thirds vote to forgive: One will. Or are you suggesting Jesus is not God? Get lost!

I will have some patience. Never said to cling to past regrets and remorse because you can't forgive yourself; that is foolish and of no help. Hubris! I am just saying forgiving myself is not, and can't be, my job. I submit to Christ, who covers us in his blood and where we turn to restore our righteousness through him by contrite confession.

Are you now saying Jesus is God after saying he isn't? You have said there was no Trinity now you're saying there is? If you think there is then good.

My post was a general comment and not directed to you. I am happy if you submit to Christ.

No, though I appreciate their beliefs, I am Anti-Baptist.

Hardly general, but okay.

And this makes you angry? I thought you were an advocate for one to believe as they choose? 👿

He was not a Unitarian when he first joined, he stated that he believed in the Trinity and the gospel of Paul! Perhaps our prayers have made a difference! 👍

I just dislike it when people are disingenuous...

The Bible was inspired by God, but written by men....

There is no disingenuousness in that statement
