OK three two year terms is fine with me, but no more.

Giving Senators two six year terms doesn't seem fair to me since that adds up to 12 instead of the 6.

What I would prefer is only one term no matter how many years.

One for Senators, three for Reps and 2 for President would be ok with me.

If it didn't go through my mouth I missed it. Mom serves supper to both our sons and doesn't always do things that are good for me. We have BLTs about once a month. I love those things, especially the bacon part.

I have no idea how to pass that bacon flavor through electronic means for you. :(

I actually would like to amend the Constitution for P**********l term length. Although I no longer live there, Virginia does one six year term for Governor. It seems to have worked quite well.

The end result would be six years for all elected officials. Seems reasonable to me, but what do I know.

In nature, various animal groups have definitions, ie. "flocks" of geese, " herds" of cattle, a "p***e" of lions, " litter of kittens, etc.
The group definition for a gathering of baboons, literally not made up joke, is a "congress.
How appropriate of the 535 on capital hill!

Now is there any reason to demean baboons?

I must declare that I DID not do due diligence research when this information was given to me. I have since been corrected. When baboons gather they congregate; however, are called a troop.

Having said that, maybe the position should be Congress does congregate, therefore, could be called baboons. As someone posted to me, a troop could represent Cub or Boy Scouts and those we do not want to insult.

Very sorry for the misinformation.

Apparently, in case one dies, or in the unlikely event they begin serving a term in prison, which most should, we have a spare to finish the job of screwing us.

Doc, we already have term limits. They're called e******ns. What we need are intelligence requirements for v**ers. When the Constitution was written, you had to be able to do more than fog a mirror to v**e. Oringinally you had to be a property or business owner, (includes farmers and fishermen, of course), so you would have some skin in the game, so to speak. Now, people are allowed to v**e who have no idea what the issues are, who the candidates are or where they stand on what, and sometimes cannot even read well enough to fill out the b****t unaided. These people do not understand that there is no free lunch, that you can k**l the goose that lays the golden egg. If you cannot read and write, [IN ENGLISH!], you should not be able to v**e. someone who has never paid taxes or held a job should not be a v**er. I realize many will disagree with this viewpoint, but it is the same one that the Framers most generally had. If you live on hand outs, you will v**e for whoever will give them to you, with no thought of much of anything else.

As well you should be; baboons have feelings too, you know!

Yep. I just told her last night and she admitted that the reason we don't get BLTs any more often than we do has nothing to do with my health. It is all because of the mess on her stove top left by the splattering grease of frying whole package of bacon at once. It takes a lot of that stuff for our boys and they may never stop eating at "Mom's Diner" till she stops cooking for them and goes to just for me.
