Here are the 2 real reasons for these vicious fires going on in California. The inability of Jerry Brown and Gavin Gruesome (2 alt rat-ical demorats)to implement the clear cutting of dead trees and dead wood debris by their Forest Service and the spraying of aluminium oxide/barium by way of chemtrails and a process of geoengineering. The aluminium and barium increases the intensity of fires and will even leap over rivers and streams to continue the burning process. The GOP has nothing to do with this. Why do you think 40,000 firemen are needed to put these fires out???
Here are the 2 real reasons for these vicious fire... (show quote)

I'll agree that the clear cutting of dead trees may have helped, but do you have any clue how big an effort that would be? There's little or no profit to be made from it so it would have to be tax-funded and this isn't your backyard Sparky. California has 33 million acres of forest. The cost to tax payers would be enormous and if you're a Republican you already know it's not something the Republicans in Sacramento would support.

But it makes for a great scapegoat doesn't it?

BTW, it's not just California... The few states with anywhere close to 33 million acres of wilderness, such as Colorado and Oregon are also suffering from record breaking fires... Interestingly, a majority of the wilderness in these states are managed by the federal government under Trump. So it actually makes more sense to ask him why we aren't clear cutting all the dead trees. in 2019, 85% of the fires in California were on federal land!

And it's not just the western states where all the national forests are... Australia which has been under a conservative government for years is having a horrible time with record-breaking fires. Africa is also suffering. Record-breaking fires are raging all around the world and you want to blame it on California environmentalists?

Also, clear cutting dead trees from the vast wilderness is not something ANY state OR country has EVER done before. So obviously, THAT isn't the root cause of the problem. So try again Sparky.

As for the chemtrails, there's been a recent study in which 76 scientists found no evidence that chemtrails contain anything that can't be explained by the simple process of flying through the air at certain altitudes, much less as part of a nefarious conspiracy to sterilize people or control their minds or any of the other bizarre claims that come with the conspiracy theory. One scientist, referring to one isolated observation noticed levels of barium in the atmosphere were unusually high relative to the levels of barium in the soil. But there is nothing to suggest that was caused by the observed airplane.

But I gotta give you a standing ovation for actually trying to link the chemtrail conspiracy theory to the fires that are raging across the globe.

That's what you call a strong argument and yes, I understand how frustrating that must be for you, so go ahead and hurl your insults, whatever makes you feel better.

You're confusing your opinion with fact again. This topic of yours and some of your statements are simply nutter materlal a la Alex Jones. Blame away.

Of course there are many causes that spark the fires raging across the western states and we really can't track them down to one cause. But there's more to starting a fire than a spark. You need three things... heat (such as a spark) oxygen and fuel.

It's the fuel that makes these fires so much worse now than they used to be. There's more of it. Why? because of increased drought conditions... the lack of rain kills the vegetation and dries the biomass into fuel for fire. Of course droughts have always been a problem in the western states and so have fires, but for some reason the current drought which started in 2012, has been more severe and prolonged than any previous drought on record and with it comes a series of record-breaking fires with every year getting worse.

Scientists at NOAA are saying this drought would have been bad anyway but not nearly as bad as it is due to... yup, I'm going to say it... Global Warming.

I can remember reading the studies as far back as 1978 that predicted these conditions... if we don't curb our emissions, because of the greenhouse effect. Then I watched that concern turn into a political battle with Democrats asking for the concern to be addressed and Republicans downplaying the studies and denying the science upon which they were based. Obviously, the Republicans were protecting the oil business which didn't want to sacrifice any part of their profit for a cleaner environment.

The Republican people voted big oil tycoons to the White House and sent their loved ones to fight wars to advance oil profits. Republicans have always been on the side of burning fossil fuels without any concern for the consequences.

42 years after I first read about global warming and it's potential outcomes, I am witnessing exactly what they predicted. We did NOT curb our emissions. The Republicans got in the way. Everytime we tried, the Republicans would reverse our efforts. I watched it happen... for 40 years!

So when I see those fires raging, blotting out the sky, destroying forests and structures, killing people and animals alike, I blame the Republicans. I don't accept ignorance on this one. There is no lack of information on this. After 40 years, if people STILL don't get it, it's because they choose not to. Therefore the lives lost in the fires was by choice. The choice made by Republicans... election after election.

And that goes for ALL people who have voted Republican over the last 40 years. Even those of you reading this. Yes, I am telling these Republicans with the utmost clarity... YOU are to blame for the fires and all the lives these fires will claim. 100%!

I suppose that if the dead dry timber and underbrush had been removed, which Republicans had proposed, there wouldn't be quite so much fuel for the fires to burn. But no, the Sierra Club and other left leaning environmentalist organizations would have none of that.

There's plenty of blame to go around. The far western states are for the most part high desert, dry and parched in the best of times. Mike

1. in 2019, 85% of the fires in California started on federal land which accounts for about 47% of California's total land area. So, if that land is not managed, it's really not the fault of California, it's the fault of the federal government under Trump.

So you are saying that in 2019, the federal government under Trump was responsible for fires in California. Got that. But what about when Obama was President (or any other president), wouldn't THAT president be held accountable for the fires? Why are you mentioning only Trump, only the year 2019 and why do you blame only Republicans?

I doubt that the only years that the land was not managed properly were only the years Trump was president...

We haven’t had a drought in over 2 years! There’s been a lot of rainfall! Blame the demonrats in charge that won’t clean up the forests!!! No such thing as global warming, now the liberal term is climate change!!!

The families, dogs, cats, horses, they died because of you. Of course it would take a bigger person to own up to this. Not something you see among Republicans, so your response really isn't surprising.

There is no evidence that any of the fires were started by protesters Even if they did, it makes no difference to the severity of the fire. I already said there can be many causes that can spark a fire but that has no bearing on the severity. Once the fire is started, the severity is determined by the quantity of fuel and the supply of oxygen, not the spark.

Also, there would be no 4 feet of dead wood if not for the severity of the drought. The forests have NEVER been cleared out and yet these fires are record breaking. Obviously then, NOT clearing the undergrowth is NOT the underlying cause of the severity of these fires.

BTW, most of the fires burning in California are on land managed by the federal government under
Trump. So you may want to change your excuse if you don't want to implicate the fuhrer.

As for draining the water, No. That water wasn't taken out of the sky which is what you need to save the land from drought. That water came from surface water which does NOT prevent drought OR fires. But since you mentioned it. The drought that YOU folks caused, is a major factor in why the surface water is being drained... It's not being replenished with the ice packs that supply most of the water in west, because there's no snowfall in a drought.

So, no none of what you mention has any bearing on the severity of the fires. The drought does, as caused by global warming, as caused by Republicans catering to the fossil-fuel industry.

Thanks!

Apparently not according to Trump who sent federal goons to Portland without any request from Oregon. Did you forget that? LOL

Also, the federal lands on which most of the fires are burning are managed by the federal government not the state. Saying the states have to ask for help with federal land management is like me telling you that you have to ask me to drive my own car.

Also, you missed my point about severity of fires vs number of fires. The number of fires hasn't actually increased, the severity has and as I have said the spark has no influence on the severity of the fire, the fuel does. I know science is hard for you guys but it would be nice if you at least tried. Anyway, trying to push the blame on arsonists for the severity of these fires is absurd.

Trying to blame it on mismanaged forests, considering how much of it was under Trump's scope of responsibility is a backfire that would embarrass any Republican with the brains to figure it out.

Yes, and the demorats have to have at least 50 gender reveal parties since they claim there are at least 50 different genders. 50 smoke bombs can cause climate change on a state wide basis. No wonder Californians can't breathe. Their politicians have their Gastapo boots on their necks.

You seem like a bright person, have you thought about confronting the Siera Club about maybe removing some of the dead trees and brush that helps feed these fires? As for "clement change" or "global warming" causing the fire there must be something I am missing - I was taught you need fuel (the dead trees and brush) and spark to start a fire. I'm not ready to believe "climent change", "global warming" or any other such nonsense started these fires. Once intentionally started by an arsonist, camp fire not properly extinguished, maybe a cigarette careless thrown down or out a car window - then, once the fire was started the dry condition and wind cause it to spread. The high air temperature plus wind makes the fire very hard to contain but did not start these fires. Do you know how hot the air temp would have to be to start a fire? Just curious.

...because you clean up your yards... what an absurd thing to say. You don't think Californians do the same? I used to have a house on 4.5 acres of land outside San Diego and I spend a lot of time and money every year on clearing a zone around the house to prevent fires, so did all the other homeowners in the area, conservative and liberals alike.

It's got nothing to do with our backyards Sparky. It's the environment at large. California, Oregon and Washington have WAY more wilderness in the drought-affected zones than Texas does and THAT is where almost all the fires are. Maybe in Texas more of the fires are started by lazy people, since you folks hold the record for fires started at chemical plants as a result of negligence.

That's actually not true. He wasn't caught starting the fire. He was caught filming the fire and he was arrested on suspicion of starting the fire. A suspicion based on the fact that the police saw him earlier walking along the highway BEFORE the fire started. One thing is certain... they didn't catch him in the act.

From what I can tell this guy isn't super bright. His conversation style seems a bit juvenile for a 36 year old. He was apparently arrested at the Ferguson protest for having a gun in his backpack that he says he forgot was there. From what I can tell in the video he shot at the time, the police were far more concerned about the legal status of his guns than they were about the fire.

He also appears to be a video blogger, so there's reason to suspect he isn't as much a protester as much as a guy that goes to demonstrations for video content. His protest videos clearly show him on the sidelines filming, not marching with the protesters. Yes, he posted on facebook that he supports BLM but not the looters, but lots of people support BLM - that doesn't make them all protesters.

So, if you're attempting to back up the claim that protesters are starting these fires, I'm going to call that a really long stretch. First of all, the fire was small and it was extinguished while the guy was still being questioned by the police on the side of the road. Secondly, he wasn't caught setting the fire and finally this feeble "evidence" is all you got.
