SO how are the Spotted Owls and all the animals fairing now ?

You are nothing more than a left wing nut that is totally clueless and won't take responsibility for the stupid ideas you all can come up with !

Then you have the audacity to blame Trump and the Republicans typical leftist progressive Democrats !

It's no wonder that you and your kind all are looked at with disgust

I'll agree that the clear cutting of dead trees may have helped, but do you have any clue how big an effort that would be? There's little or no profit to be made from it so it would have to be tax-funded and this isn't your backyard Sparky. California has 33 million acres of forest. The cost to tax payers would be enormous and if you're a Republican you already know it's not something the Republicans in Sacramento would support.

But it makes for a great scapegoat doesn't it?

BTW, it's not just California... The few states with anywhere close to 33 million acres of wilderness, such as Colorado and Oregon are also suffering from record breaking fires... Interestingly, a majority of the wilderness in these states are managed by the federal government under Trump. So it actually makes more sense to ask him why we aren't clear cutting all the dead trees. in 2019, 85% of the fires in California were on federal land!

And it's not just the western states where all the national forests are... Australia which has been under a conservative government for years is having a horrible time with record-breaking fires. Africa is also suffering. Record-breaking fires are raging all around the world and you want to blame it on California environmentalists?

Also, clear cutting dead trees from the vast wilderness is not something ANY state OR country has EVER done before. So obviously, THAT isn't the root cause of the problem. So try again Sparky.

As for the chemtrails, there's been a recent study in which 76 scientists found no evidence that chemtrails contain anything that can't be explained by the simple process of flying through the air at certain altitudes, much less as part of a nefarious conspiracy to sterilize people or control their minds or any of the other bizarre claims that come with the conspiracy theory. One scientist, referring to one isolated observation noticed levels of barium in the atmosphere were unusually high relative to the levels of barium in the soil. But there is nothing to suggest that was caused by the observed airplane.

But I gotta give you a standing ovation for actually trying to link the chemtrail conspiracy theory to the fires that are raging across the globe.

Your first sentence is more Strait up bullBiden.

You have no personal knowledge of forest management and profit margin of the logging companies.

Of course there are many causes that spark the fires raging across the western states and we really can't track them down to one cause. But there's more to starting a fire than a spark. You need three things... heat (such as a spark) oxygen and fuel.

It's the fuel that makes these fires so much worse now than they used to be. There's more of it. Why? because of increased drought conditions... the lack of rain kills the vegetation and dries the biomass into fuel for fire. Of course droughts have always been a problem in the western states and so have fires, but for some reason the current drought which started in 2012, has been more severe and prolonged than any previous drought on record and with it comes a series of record-breaking fires with every year getting worse.

Scientists at NOAA are saying this drought would have been bad anyway but not nearly as bad as it is due to... yup, I'm going to say it... Global Warming.

I can remember reading the studies as far back as 1978 that predicted these conditions... if we don't curb our emissions, because of the greenhouse effect. Then I watched that concern turn into a political battle with Democrats asking for the concern to be addressed and Republicans downplaying the studies and denying the science upon which they were based. Obviously, the Republicans were protecting the oil business which didn't want to sacrifice any part of their profit for a cleaner environment.

The Republican people voted big oil tycoons to the White House and sent their loved ones to fight wars to advance oil profits. Republicans have always been on the side of burning fossil fuels without any concern for the consequences.

42 years after I first read about global warming and it's potential outcomes, I am witnessing exactly what they predicted. We did NOT curb our emissions. The Republicans got in the way. Everytime we tried, the Republicans would reverse our efforts. I watched it happen... for 40 years!

So when I see those fires raging, blotting out the sky, destroying forests and structures, killing people and animals alike, I blame the Republicans. I don't accept ignorance on this one. There is no lack of information on this. After 40 years, if people STILL don't get it, it's because they choose not to. Therefore the lives lost in the fires was by choice. The choice made by Republicans... election after election.

And that goes for ALL people who have voted Republican over the last 40 years. Even those of you reading this. Yes, I am telling these Republicans with the utmost clarity... YOU are to blame for the fires and all the lives these fires will claim. 100%!
Of course there are many causes that spark the fir... (show quote)

Mind telling us how it is Republicans' fault when California has been run by Liberal Democrats for decades? If Republican policies are to blame, why aren't Republican states having these problems?

Of course, the Bugs Bunny approach to forestry employed by California has nothing to do with it. You let ignorant environmental activists block clearing debris and undergrowth from forested areas. This brushy fire hazard is your problem. Why does the rest of the country not share the left coasts woes? Maybe because they let professional foresters, rather than professional Liberals dictate their forest management policies. The deaths and damages caused by these fires rests squarely on the brainless heads of Liberals who allow clueless free range morons to decide what politically correct forest management practices are acceptable.

Which came first, the arson or the badly managed forest? Sounds like the cop wants SOMEONE blamed for the fires, but won't look at how some conservative policies added to the danger and loss. Why won't conservatives put anything on the shoulders of PG&E. Are they getting kickbacks?

So tell us, Abigail, If these fires are due to Republicans, why are the fires only happening in Democrat controlled California? Why don't Republican run states have these uncontrolled fires?
Do you think that California's refusal to allow the clearing of undergrowth and brush, (an incredible fire hazard) might just have more to do with it than Republicans who have had no say in California government for at least the past 20 years?
You have no concept of forestry, and fire prevention. Neither does the author of this thread.

I know I'm taking an extreme tact on this thread, but that's a message in itself. For years I have been logging into this site and disputing right-wing bullshit with logic and evidence, issue by issue and after all that, I've come to the realization that the closed minds on the right will never accept any evidence or logic if it conflicts with their idiot politics.

So, this time, I'm going straight to the sum total of Republican failure to emphasize its severity in simple terms that I hope they can understand. I'm using the wildfires as the example in this case only because it's the easiest to explain and the responses I've received so far is exactly what I had anticipated.

The only lame arguments I have read are yours. You blame Republicans for a drought which started in the middle of the Obama Administration. You blame Republicans for California's refusal to practice sound forestry management; allowing ignorant, politically motivated activists to prevent clearing of the undergrowth that fuels these fires, and then in typical pass-the-buck Liberal fashion, you blame Republicans who have had no control over California lawmaking for at least twenty years.Republican controlled states don't have California's problems. Every lost life and every bit of property damage, as I said, rests on the brainless heads of Liberals who listen to idiots instead of professionals.
You made one accurate statement...."Sheep are predictable." They certainly are, especially the Liberal variety who have never taken responsibility for any mess they ever caused.

Not much of a counter argument. Probably because you HAVE no counter argument. If you have a history of voting Republican Carol, you ARE responsible for the loss of those lives. The families, dogs, cats, horses, they died because of you. Of course it would take a bigger person to own up to this. Not something you see among Republicans, so your response really isn't surprising.

Now if you want what could be the culprit, I also was researching it. I have many friends in Colorado (a militia to be accurate), California and that area. Anyway, I won't give you one of the wacko conspiracy theories, kind of like global warming. These are fairly easy to spot too. Guys/gals in their 20s or 30s with cans of accelerants. No BBQ, why would they have it? Usually to start a fire, right? Get some dry leaves or wood and splash it around, then throw a few matches. The wind does the rest.

Btw, I wouldn't be too fast to blame Republicans, as anything the left does it says Republicans are doing it. Projection, remember the hag's playbook?
