Maybe just a little. It is true, though. One of them that I originally disapproved of married my daughter, became a police officer and eventually the father of two of my grandsons. He has become a fine upstanding Christian man, been promoted several times, and I could not be prouder of him or love him more. But, I did not approve of him at first.
Any good guy can miss the initial fathers approval, but being a possible sex offender is another story. Some guys, I think most, need a growing time before some ambition sets in. Possibly after they find their lady, then their attention can move on to something else.
I have a twenty year old son, doesn't know what to do with himself, couldn't find her and couldn't figure out what he wants to do in life, he just joined the Coast Guard today, maybe that will give him time to figure it out.
Glad things worked out for you.
