I can understand that logic, but in all fairness, they should allow representatives from both sides, it would also be more educational to listen to different viewpoints.

There's way too much-slanted misinformation and people are having a hard time filtering through what is real and what isn't. I think it's way past time to charge people with a crime for unt***hs, it used to be liable and punishable. To be a liar used to be a great black mark on your character as a person, to now where it is just acceptable to different degrees. A man used to be as good as his word, where'd that go?

This is why a find a liar as our president is such a disgrace and represents who we are. Look who represents us, but the right doesn't get that, all they see is their weekly paycheck and not the long stance of his actions and their repercussions to our country.

The way many on the right (and the center also) saw it Trump represented a change from the status quo. We had seen too much of condescending politicians (both sides) basically telling us we aren't smart enough to run our own lives. Trump represented someone who would fight for us and not just roll over when someone disagrees with him. I'm sure all of us would like to see him give twitter a rest or at least not be so boorish in his posts.

He should stay off twitter.

If Biden gets elected nothing will change. In addition to his mental faculties starting to fail he represents the same old corrupt politics that we saw with the Obama regime.

We need someone else to step forward - not a democrat or republican but someone who could really shake things up. But the best for the job won't run and/or get set aside. We've been seeing that happen for years.

On the Republican side, I like what I have seen so far with Dan Crenshaw. It gives me hope for the future.
On the Democrat side, I see Tulsi Gabbard as someone who could bring the Democrats back to the center and may give a Republican challenger a run for his/her money. It seemed like the Democrat party elites were afraid of her and seemed to stack the deck against her.

The right gets it just fine. The media spews lies, and what used to be called "yellow journalism" all day every day. ALL media...

True. Also, at least for me, President Trump flipped the 2016 e******n narrative to talk about things regular people were interested in. Like jobs. Like no open borders. Like the fact that we had abysmal trade deals. To name a few.

The dems are going to basically try to appoint a president should Biden be elected. It's glaringly obvious that whoever's is chosen as VP would be President within 60 days of his e******n, because Biden barely knows where, or who, or when he is.....

The dems didn't want Gabbard cuz she isn't quite radical enough and I doubt if she's easily manipulated. I also like Dan Crenshaw, and a few others.

Both parties need to be looking at their benches. Whether or not Trump wins ree******n, the Republicans are going to need new blood to run in 2024 and beyond. The Democrats look like they may have a bigger problem. Their top candidates for 2020 are quite elderly and not likely to be a factor beyond this year. As for up and comers, Gabbard seems too independent and not radical enough. Of the others only AOC has much in the way of name recognition and she is too far left for most of America.
I'm sure our parents and/or our grandparents wondered were the next leaders will come from. Our guesses will most likely be wrong. I have a book that came from my grandmother from around 1920 (I haven't looked at the copyright date in years). It was profiling predicted future world leaders, I don't think it had any of them correct.

I agree!! I used to read a lot of my grandparents and my dads stuff (college textbooks, encyclopedias circa 1934, etc) On the other hand it's hard to believe ANYONE could have predicted the snarled up mess we're in now. Cuz I don't think anyone back then saw the rapid decline in moral character that we have witnessed over the past 50 years.....

I like those choices much better. The democrats could have gotten some republican v**es with Gabbard. Why they settled for Biden is a mystery unless they want to get rid of him and replace him with his VP pick.

Its looking more and more like that's what they want to do. And they complain about republicans being dirty.

I'm really glad my grandmother gave me her books, some date back to 1865, I find them a fascinating look into what life was like for my ancestors. My brother and sister wanted the books because they thought they might be worth a lot of money. One series of the books are the Chautauqua books that they used to train teachers. Many of my relatives consider me a dinosaur because I don't live for technology. I'll use it, but I don't let it rule my life. I could survive in a low tech world, but I question if these millenials could.
