I can't find the YouTube video that provided me this information, but I do seem to recall Mr. Trump himself relating the story. ( Hearing his voice gives me specific, recognizable bodily effects of an extreme and unpleasant nature... The sniffling and dry mouth/ congested sinus, drippy throat sound.... Makes the back of my throat close up and my lungs shrivel a tiny bit. I'm not proud of it or in control of it, but I usually manage it by READING rather than listening for quotes.)
He said something close to.... This Democrat woman, who had become very ill in hospital with c****-**, had heard the anecdotal reports about hydroxychloroquine, and "asked her husband to go get her some...?!!!?"

Here we go.... Didn't listen to more tapes but found this. Hopefully, her doctor called in a script and her husband picked it up for her? But I have seen reports that lupus sufferers are being told THEIR regular scripts can't be filled because all the doses are being snapped up for " new studies."
But this kind of inexact statement may lead some to misunderstand the Dr/patient responsibility to use their greater knowledge and experience to guide patients away from foolish ill informed choices and work arounds to established and appropriate aquisition and use of controlled medications.
DEM LAWMAKER SAYS TRUMP SAVED HER LIFE BY RECOMMENDING HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE FOR C****AV***S

U.S.
Michigan Democratic State Representative Karen Whitsett told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Monday that the controversial drug hydroxychloroquine stopped her c****av***s symptoms "within a couple hours."
Whitsett represents parts of Detroit, a city that has been labeled a c****av***s "hot spot." Recent data indicated 5,032 positive cases in Detroit with 196 deaths attributable to the v***s reported in the city.
Used primarily to treat malaria, hydroxychloroquine has been praised by President Donald Trump as a potential therapeutic for the v***s. Sunday, Trump suggested taking the drug to prevent contracting the v***s.
"I'm not looking at it one way or the other," Trump said, "but we want to get out of this. If it does work, it would be a shame if we didn't do it early. But we have some very good signs."
While the FDA has not yet approved hydroxychloroquine for treatment of the c****av***s, Whitsett claims it worked for her.
"I really want to say that you have to give this an opportunity," Whitsett said Monday. "For me, it saved my life."
President Donald Trump's referring to the drug hydroxychloroquine as a possible cure for c****av***s may have helped save Michigan Representative Karen Whitsett's life after she took the medication when she became symptomatic.
Whitsett did not receive hydroxychloroquine until the day of her c****av***s test.
She was able to have her husband pick up the medication after her symptoms reached a critical phase.(emphasis added)
Hospitals in her area were full.
"I honestly believed that once I got into something like that, I may not actually come out and that was my biggest fear," Whitsett said. "And I knew that this medication would possibly save me."
Whitsett credited Trump's mention of hydroxychloroquine during news briefings for giving her the idea of trying the drug.
