Eastern Ukraine wants to be part of Russia. Why are we against that??

I'm not against it free will and all that. I just wonder what it means for our treaty with them. And yes, I don't trust Russia or any of the EU, so will this be another country not to trust?

Crimea was part of Russia since 1783 and most of the people there are Russian or Russian leaning. The Soviet Union t***sferred Crimea administratively to the Ukraine in 1954; no big deal as Ukraine at the time was part of the Soviet Union. Russia's re-acquisition of Crimea is merely a re-assertion of historical Russian possession since the Ukraine is now an independent country.

Any aircraft is a simple target when it is sitting on the ground. When used as intended, in low-intensity conflicts as ground support they are the most devastating aircraft we have and are almost impossible to shoot down.
