Tree of life is Jesus

Now I'm confused...
Why didn't God want Adam and Eve to know Jesus?

Genesis
3:22
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
3:23
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
3:24
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

I think it's the wording of the text that's confusing you. I agree it's not real clear.
The first phrase of 3:22 explains that since man ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they lost their innocence and now knew good and evil, and hence would not live forever as originally planned.
The second phrase of 3:22 explains how humans, in their sinful condition would no longer be able to eat of the tree of life and live forever.

Very pertinent question, Canuckus, the fruit may have been a pomegranate, it certainly wasn't Eve, or the serpent!

IMHO, these Biblical analysis could use a little less testosterone.

The tree of Knowledge of good and evil?is a metaphor for sex?

The forbidden tree was Satan.
They went from immortal light beings to mortal human blood beings.

Jesus was the second Adam; A second chance because the first Adam screwed up. Jesus is the tree.

Wow... I do not get that from the passage...

How is it that we can now eat from the tree?

Huh?

More and more confused...

Adam (the first) screwed up by having intercourse with Eve?

Jesus/Yahshua (meaning, Yah who saves) became the substitute for those that accept him as Savior.

Eve screwed up and Adam joined her. They lost their immortality.
Who knows what would have happened if Adam did not have intercourse with Eve.

But why couldn't Adam accept him as his Savior?

If he was right there in the garden?

Adam made a choice.
I suggest everyone get a hold of Shepherd's Chapel, and check out their Bible studies.

Adam chose not to accept salvation when it was staring him right in the eye?

I will look onto this Bible

As you may well know, Canuckus; turning down pussy is not easy.

God made man free to choose.

If you really want to study the bible, I suggest Shepherd's Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas. They have an extensive tape ministry.
Go to You Tube also.
