With this, I agree, there is indeed a reason, it was a fulfillment of prophecy, straight from the Word of God:

A lot of good scriptures to ponder and give attention to.
A keeper, thanks.
But;
it is important to discern the prophesies on Judah, and on 10 Tribed Israelites (primarily Joseph, who God renamed Israel)

Joseph was never named or renamed Israel.
His father Jacob was.
"Israelites" comes from Jacob who was also named Israel (Genesis ch.35) and whom tradition puts at 36 centuries ago.

Good correction. I misspoke.
A lot of prophesies are of Joseph's seed though. Ephraim and Manasseh, etc.
