Food and fuel, and what two things do we poor everyday people use the most of????

Believe me, any woman who is a careful (and maybe not so careful) shopper is realizing that inflation has hit her grocery money. When the same amount of money that bought 3 bags, is now only paying for 2 - she's awake and watching.

You are right and I should have mentioned that energy costs are also not figured in the rate of inflation.

Just another way to mislead the uniformed into believing the economy is better than it is, just like the phony unemployment rate.

Yes, like the millennials (18-24) who helped elect him both times.
Ah, but wait - they are getting out of college, no jobs, big bucks college loans, and they're sitting in their old bedrooms in their parents house wondering what happened.

You have to watch your meat in the store. Here is why. China is importing meat into America and they are on our food shelves, they are recalling chicken from China. Walmart is the biggest seller of all their meats. Myself, I will not buy them, or eat them if I know.

My husband is the only meat eater in the house, so I go to our local market for his meat. They have a reputation of buying from local farmers. You cannot always find that, but if you go online and do some searching, you may strike it lucky - you'll pay more, but it's worth it.

I have also read, that because people are ASKING WHERE DOES THIS MEAT COME FROM, and not buy the China or foreign stuff - grocer's bottom line is forcing them to change buying habits.

They are too busy talking about where olbanger is going on vacation next.People if you have a small plot of ground plant what you can.Tomatoes are $1.00 each as are bell peppers.

Food inflation is also caused by human overpopulation. More and more people chasing fewer and fewer resources.

Of course if you are a bible thumper you don't believe your God promised, horn of plenty, could ever diminish in size.

Paul Ehrlich promoted that canard over 40 years ago in his book "The Population Bomb". Technology and human innovation expanded available resources to keep up with the population. It had nothing to do with the bible.

BTW, Paul Ehrlich lost a bet with economist Julian Simon on this matter.

Overpopulation was fueled by the green revolution. This was the use of petrochemical fertilizers to dramatically boost crop yields ten fold. Well guess what, we've grabbed the low h*****g f****l f**l fruit. Now we are left with consuming the leftovers, which are incredibly polluting. That would be deep sea drilling (remember the BP well blowout in the gulf), fracking (destroying our clean water) and using toxic sludge (Canadian tar sands).

The cornucopians, with their biblical horn of plenty, are delusional. It would take 4 planet earths for earth dwellers to all live the "American Dream". China and India will literally eat what's left of your shrinking lunch.

Care for a preview. Compare your grocery receipts from a year ago or 5 years ago. Take special note of what you pay for protein items.

Who ever said everyone needed to or should live the American Dream? Everything has tradeoffs that needs to be measured.

All I can tell you is I'm far from starving, and I'll let you know when I'm going hungry.

How would you like to be the one to tell China's and India's leaders that they are not dream-worthy??? Telling China would be especially interesting considering that they are America's absentee landlord, holding the bulk of our I.O.U.'s

Your cornucopian argument is rapidly taking on water or hadn't you noticed?

I don't need to. They've already lifted so many out of poverty.

All you can do is whine.
