Why discuss it at all? It’s being used as a weapon and that’s d********g and dividing.
We don’t need division, we need to come together for the good of all. The question is can any of us be selfless enough to do that.

You just demonstrated your own bigotry.

Good job.

As you do madame! If you were honest about it, you would accept your own bigotry.

Have an unusually blessed day.

The moral response to discovering an inimical influence is to avoid nurturing it and nip it in the bud. And to battle its influence to the point of exposing it where ever it
clings and hides.

All my days are already unusually blessed!

it seems a fine point but it is crucial. It is he INTOLERANCE of perceived differences that motivates and energizes HARM to another person that defines bigotry. It is the HARMING of another person with this as motive, that we are all needing to talk about here.

BIGOTRY IS THE MOTIVE,

HARM IS THE CHOSEN ACTION.

One can be silent and deny their internal intolerance a v**e as they choose to affirm life and liberty to others.

Or one can submit to the desire and cause harm to others.

Which one do we wish to be?

Wrong..! The opposite of the t***h. There is no harm intended in assessing someone else situation. If I want someone inferior to improve or grow, I must honestly state the facts where I am going to challenge for improvement. That is the target I must use to improve the person's possibility of advancement. If I have improved his/her qualities from negative to positive that is an honest way of helping. Help to improve but not just accept a wrong/inferiority, just because of race of color or g****r. I stand for what is right and proven it to be effective in developing sk**ls of people to reach the peak of performance or production. Who benefits the most is the subject involved.

At the end they realize and are grateful. They grow and reap the rewards of being honest by correcting the wrong.

Military discipline is even more stringent. But I won't go to that level. But rather use to fit the situation.

Does empathy works here? Definitely. How you help and develop someone of initially inferior value, you must identify the facts to improve and correct.

It is wrong to use race, color to allowing them be at the bottom and accept who they are. No, that person has the potential to improve and advance by removing the barriers, and replace with one that allows his/her potential to advance. There goes the training and development. That helps a lot. R****t or bigotry does not prevail here.

Honesty is crucial.

I'm not responsible for changing any other person, though like you, my empathy makes it helpful to me to relieve the suffering of others so that I don't have to experience it empathically with them so keenly.

It is up to me to learn and recognize my own and others limitations and strengths so that adjustments in my responses make more sense and increase general amity.

To learn from those who demonstrate mastery. To teach those who are eagerly beginning. To avoid that which would do harm.

And to have a sense of humor and tolerance to smooth rough edges.

Honesty is one of the most important factors in assessing someone else abilities. To improve that ability, I must identify all the elements that need correction or improvement. Race must not be applied.

To strengthen someone else's edges, the defects must be identified in order to correct or improve. If I target black or brown, it is not due to race but the area where that person needs improvement. I must fix or improve that first, before I could offer position or responsibilities that suit the position. That is not a r****t. I have done that many times.

Humor and tolerance, appreciation of positives they already have, and to further develop or allow such person to improve. Proper motivations help in developing the sk**ls of the person. Thus giving them chance to equally further their potentials for advancement. There is no r****t there. Recognizing areas for improvement to help develop is the proper way of alleviating the differences of peoples' failures turn to success.

Interesting answer. And in that same vein, diversity cannot be determined by appearance alone, as people LOOK different from one another. True diversity is about goals, actions, morals, work, priorities and a plethora of other things, which can only be determined by interaction with individuals. And, of course, self examination. With those thoughts in mind, as well as your post, our current popular understanding/usage of "race" and "r****m" is superficial and sophomoric.

Agreed!

Back to the original thread after all this name calling and bomb throwing.

I feel that the difference between R****m and bigotry is h**e vs prejudice...

AOC is not a R****t (BTW, she is a very talented young woman who is a chronic liar and/or terribly confused)... like President Trump she is a multi-based insulter based on her prejudices rather than h**e.

Talib and Omar are definitely R****t with their h**e truly evident in their attacks against Israel. These are two h**eful individuals.

a belief that some races are by nature superior to others:
also: discrimination based on such beliefs = r****t

bigot: one intolerantly dev**ed to his/her own prejudices or opinions

bigoted: obstinately and blindly attached to some creed, opinion or practise.

Some of us maybe R****T, but I think most of us are BIGOTED

Which can be changed by serious thought, education, etc.

Sorry to correct you but the subject of the original thread in this discussion is What is R****m.

I always thought the subjugation of anyone is the purest form of r****m. When a person controls another person as a master does to a s***e is r****m. Just because one disagrees with another is not r****m.

Let's focus on the subject.plus it was three generations ago that practiced pure real r****m, this generation today has not experienced true r****m.

I believe the Democrats are fighting against the ghost of r****m because for the most part Americans today have stamped out r****m. Even though the r****m hatchet has been buried some have kept the handle sticking up.

But we are all afraid to use the handle with good cause. Someday soon the argument will be over, but did we learn anything?

And I have clearly stated that R****m is wrapped in h**e... Most attacks we see is more Bigotry, wrapped in our own Prejudice.

" When a person controls another person as a master does to a s***e is r****m."... No. the s***e owner might just be a business owner and his treatment of his s***es is not based in H**e.

You are talking S***ery, rather than R****m.

Omar and Talib practice pure real R****m.

R****m has not be stamped out..
