This question is not being added. It is being reinstituted. It is not a new question!

Why would a citizen not answer the question honestly? The constitutional purpose of the census is an enumeration for the purpose of choosing how many representative seats a state gets. For that, we only need an accurate count of citizens. Over the years, many other purposes have been put to the census. But the only purpose required by our constitution is, how many citizens in each state to determine how many seats each state is entitled to in the House of Representatives. So if illegals avoid the census, it won't harm our governing process.

Obama couldn't answer that question himself, that is why he took that question off any census by his executive (execution) order.

How is that not racist?

The demonrats want to count everyone who has died in the last 100 years that have been registered as a demonrat. Since a soul has no color it would be impossible to be racist, thank God! The demorats are making all Crayons of a black or brown shade illegal to be put in any Crayon package. They think whites will abuse those colored crayons and would therefore need to pay reparations for abusing Crayons of a browish shade.

You noticed. I think the rest of the electorate is waking up to it as well. They're not just undermining our
President, they're undermining our society as a whole. When America finally figures that out, the backlash will be something to behold.

From 1820 until 2000, with the exception of one decennial period, our US Census has included a question on citizenship. The Obama administration REMOVED the question in the 2010 census, because the MSM is in the tank for Dems there was not much press on the matter & few citizens even knew. NOW the Trump administration is just trying to follow much established tradition and the CONSTITUTION by having the question included!

The Dems OBVIOUSLY see it to their advantage not to ask the question for their own political advantage! This has NOTHING to do with race & EVERYTHING to do with partisan POLITICS!

"Change we can believe in".
"Fundamental change".

Change that you don't really notice until it's too late to do anything about it.

Yeah. Like using the census to inflate Congressional districts in certain States. That kind of 'change'.

democRats don't just undermine Trump they undermine the nation and always have. I don't care what the issue is they pick the wrong side every time Giving 22 million illegal, lawless, uneducated morons representation is the nation in self destruction. Americans need to realize democrats are out to destroy America. Look at the lies they have told trying to unset a setting president. Yet they still walk free. I'm starting to think the people of this nation don't think America is worth fighting for. The greatest generation are all dead and what you havf left are cowards and Leftist wanting Socialism. Not as long as I breath I won't back into a corner with my tail between my legs like the rest of the nation.

It's not as if they all would tell the truth anyway. And the government can't use the information to prosecute anyone. So why else would they object to the question? It would lower Democratic party representation in Congress and less federal funds to spend for pork.

OMG Kevyn, did you go to high school? Did you graduate? The census was specifically established to support our governing process. The census determines how many "citizens" reside in each state. Those results determine how many Congressional Representatives each state is allotted and how many electoral votes the state gets. Non-citizens are not eligible to vote and are not to be counted in determining Congressional representation and electoral votes. Pretty basic, right Kevyn? If we do not differentiate between the number of citizens and total population, Congressional representation and electoral votes are skewed. Consider California which has around 39 million population. Four million of that 39 million are non-citizens. Among all the remaining states, 23 have fewer than 4 million total population. If we fail to remove non-citizens from the equation, California's non-citizens will have more Congressional representation and electoral votes than each of 23 other states total. California currently has 53 electoral votes while the 23 states have from one to five electoral votes. Do you think that is fair, Kevyn???? Of course it isn't; it is unconstitutional.
