You said, "Eric Holder when, discussing the slogan MAGA, asked the question "when was America ever great?" My fervent response is, when wasn't America great? That is what repulses me about that slogan. It degrades America. It is a lie. It is chum for the discontented h**ers to feed and attack. A d******e and scurrilous assault on this "great experiment" that has worked for over 200 years. Even through a Civil War and many differences. MAGA is an insult to every patriot who has live and died for this country. It is an indictment against all our great strides and tribulations to make our nation a "City upon a hill," as Jesus said in Mt5:14. MAGA is an egotistical jingoism of the privileged. Petty, at its finest. There are news items about people wearing MAGA hats getting harassed, kicked out of restaurants, cursed; you would to if you could see. That slogan stands for the worst in this country.

What has and will always make America great is freedom of the press and that, despite all the wealth and political pressure, all the special interests and prejudices, we will eventually right our wrongs, no matter how it hurts. No other country can say that. American exceptionalism! To insult this fine and glorious march to be what our founding fathers envisioned, maybe what God envisioned, by a nation of laws, no matter how slow or faltering, is an utter disgrace. I would almost say an act of s******n but whoever invented MAGA was too stupid to know our history.

With all the out and out h**e being projected and justified by the rhetoric spewed from trump and the resulting villification of all persons brown or liberal I have concluded that our country is in the grips of insanity. H**e crimes are on the rise . People are ending friendships and slandering one another over political differences of opinion. We used to have e******ns then we would go on with our lives. Now we have a president who constantly has political rallys to his glory and protesters in vagina suits and pussy hats. It is embarassing and we are in need of a correction to the course and direction of our great country. To that end I have come up with my own simple slogan-----MANA-Make America Normal Again--can I get an Amen?

Goebbels would be very pleased at the state of our journalism today.

Greatness for America will only come when the greatest number of people are a true part of it.
A divided nation is not a great nation.

I think it can be simpler.
Just restore the American Dream.
The one where there is hope for all to be a part of the whole.

Let's talk about that slogan, Rumi. There are some, myself included, who feel that America has slipped in the past few decades or so. If the direction America has taken hasn't slipped, why did Obama use the slogan, "Materially t***sforming America?" (paraphrase) Or Michelle Obama stated it's the first time she has been proud of America? Then he went on to saddle us with a $20 Trillions debt. Our schools are a mess and we've been told we have to let males shower with females if they want to. We k**l millions of babies every year and we celebrate it. We encourage open borders and illegality. The left aren't interested in correcting these problems because they apparently don't think they are problems. I could list many, many more things that could be improved. I don't understand how a slogan is a problem. What's wrong with trying to improve America? I think Trump has made some big strides but it's really tough when you try to get down and dirty and root out some of the troublemakers. They don't want to give up their cozy little arrangement.

Odd that you are in snit about someone criticizing trump MAGA slogan, but have no trouble at all ranting abut President Obama and his "Fundamentally t***sforming America" remark..

I think you do not know the target of his remarks, while I have posted his interview several times, the basic remark that comes from the right that they do not believe it. Even in the face of video and transcript..

Again, all of you so excited about the drivel from the trump mouth, Look at result in the world, not what trump tells you happened.. he never even try to be t***hful..

I agree. No country is perfect, but we have much to be proud of, i.e. our recovery after the 2008 recession. There is no reason to imply that America needs to be refurbished and re-burnished to return it to an imaginary previous state of greatness. "Keep America Great" might be closer to the t***h. And how may we be great? That is the question.

Spot on Bernie, well said! What I find appalling is our libby contingent was perfectly comfortable with the halfrican's slogan of "fundamentally t***sforming America", yet take umbrage to President Trump's "Make America Great Again" which shows either partisan ignorance, abject stupidity or the typical lib garden variety hypocrisy. After the disastrous 8 years of obama, America did indeed need a make over.

Obama in with his "fundamental change" included to strip gullible Americans of their precious love for our unique sovereignty.

Make people..Not Feel Special..for being born here.

If I were living in a s**thole neighborhood somewhere, and wanted to fundamentally ruin my home of sovereign existence.

I would remove all and any barriers blocking the vermin enveloping my sovereign property.

With doing that, I could now just stand back, and watch the fundamental change!!

Floyd, can you swear that giving up our sovereignty to any all comers, is better for people who have already "earned" their place in the U.S...?
