Speaking of droughts, Joesph led Egypt through a drought that lasted 7 years, so I don't think droughts are a recent thing at all. I'm inclined to think that the weird weather in Calif. is because we have broken her established ways and means to self control.

I never blamed Trump for the drought but deregulating puts a halt on the improvements we were beginning to make. Do you really believe that anyone has ever said droughts didn't exist, where did you get that inclination? No one is arguing these forces of nature haven't occurred, of course they've have, what we acknowledge is the environmental impact we have had on it and are committed to trying to remedy it.

It is completely irresponsible to allow industry to spew any kind of toxin and NOT be accountable for it. No one disagrees with that Morganstern.

You and your ilk want to muddy the waters by comparing apples to oranges!!!

The real BS comes from the money making schemes to reduce CO2. Total BS.
Just follow the money, Al Gore and other charlatans.
CO2 feeds the plants and they produce Oxygen (O2). CO2 (carbon dioxide) is what animals, including humans exhale.
O2 (oxygen) is what all animals breathe to sustain life!!!!

BTW; without Aminals plants would go hungry.

God has it figured out.

Morgan and other air head "environmentalists" need to go after the big CO2 producers.
Volcanoes and ocean activity.
Can they find a way to cap off volcanoes?
After that; what can they do about ocean activity?

MorganStern; You have no intention of doing a real Bible study. That is obvious.
As I recall; you do not believe in the Bible.
Although many Christians that have simplistic teachers/Pastors/Churches/doctrines could also use some deeper study on that.
The Serpent/Satan in the Garden of Eden, was the "apple" Eve "tasted"/slept with, which Yahweh/God forbade. That removed Adam and Eve's immortality, and produced Cain.

BTW; Christ Jesus was the second Adam, to give humanity a way back to immortality with the Father.

Yep, man-made g****l w*****g is not increasing drought, unless you are talking about increased localized land heat up due to clear cutting.

Forest health is a complex issue. As an ex-Forest Service employee, I can assure you that the issue is nearly 100% of their world. I posted on another thread the history of fire suppression, perhaps you can find it. Nutshell, fire suppression is the most significant cause of increased wildfire and diseased forests.

South American rainforests should be protected, the question is how. Perhaps here is where the US can subsidize Brazil and other nations. As a personal act don't buy imported exotic woods.

As for the use of wood... I personally am glad we use wood. It is a renewable resource that environmentalists extol we should strive for. Granted, to continue as renewable, it needs to be managed, ;ie the Forest Service and PHD programs to train people to do so. As a personal act, recycle paper, save a tree.

Building in forests... Just plain a risk. I don't like paying my taxes to pay for their rescue. Go ahead and build in the idyllic mountains but be sure you have a bar code on your roof to tell if you are insured for forest fire. Otherwise no r****dant will be dropped on you. And quit passing laws that prevent proper thinning and brush reduction.

Well said! Morgan also forgot to mention that we not only invaded the forest, we invaded the forest creatures hood! I've read about clashes between people and animals when we go too far into their territory.
To me it's simple...people build on the beach; a hurricane washes them away. People build near a volcano; boom! an eruption takes them out. People build near a major river; whoosh! a flood washes them away. People build in the forest; forest fires push them back.
People still do these risky things all the time and then when the inevitable happens, they want to blame the president. I just don't see Trump being able to change a major chunk of weather in a little over 2 years.
I especially don't see how his policies in the mainland affect the area of Hawaii, which is where most of Calif.'s rain storms originate.

Perhaps we are looking at the coin from different angles as we discuss the topic of C*****e C****e. The coin goes from a line to a circle as you rotate your perspective. I make a distinction between protecting the environment from harmful practices and assuming the world will end if we do not invoke NWO IPCC regulations. The two are infinitely different.

The answers I was asking for are about HOW will any IPCC plans save the world from destruction. I know how limiting polluting gases makes for cleaner air. Hurray for some of those regulations. How any prudent, practical, economical, sustainable...ie sane, C*****e C****e action will work. I think it is better to spend US money on US problems and not redistribute it to other countries.

I get enraged when the elites; ie the Bernie Sanders with three mansions, the AOCs that get $170K/yr and won't walk 10 minutes to ride her cherished trains, the Gores that made millions scare mongering while using more electricity than a small city; the list is nearly endless;.. when the elites want to "save the planet" while doing nothing themselves. They are so much smarter than us poor delusional peons. They must take over everything because they know better. The gall they have is beyond the pale.

However, the works of man have been (and still needs to continue) cleaning up our world. It should be as livable as possible. Even though man cannot modify the natural events that shape our world, we can provide clean air, clean water, end pollution of our seas, etc.

So I look at the coin from the edge. There are thin lines that we do have control of (Environment). Looking at it on the face, the coin surface is beyond the capabilities of man to change (C*****e C****e).

Your link... It was hard to understand the slide bar. A few seemed to indicate that sliding to the left showed the past while sliding to the right showed the present. The glacier calving seemed to be the opposite. No where did it explain how to interpret the slides. But I assume the point was that C*****e C****e was causing wh**ever problem they were trying to show. I don't buy it, duh. The flooding...was supposedly due to rising sea levels? Some slides looked to me that it was more probably due to the monsoon season. Those flooding slides reminded me of the stupid claim of beach loss when two pictures were shown side by side. The i***t did not know about tide level changes. The link only made my regard those interpreting NASA's pictures as proof of anything cataclysmic as being fear mongers.

If I may be so bold, you seem to have a strong concern for the environment, the health of the planet. Bravo. However, please consider that we who disagree about the death of the planet due to "C*****e C****e" are in the boat with you. We possibly only disagree in what should be done. I would ask all that we stop calling each other i***ts for our views. (lol of course, I will not stop calling the hypocrite elites evil morons, unless they join this forum and explain why they are not)
Perhaps we are looking at the coin from different ... (show quote)

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is an important heat-trapping (greenhouse) gas, which is released through human activities such as deforestation and burning f****l f**ls, as well as natural processes such as respiration and volcanic eruptions. The first graph shows atmospheric CO2 levels measured at Mauna Loa Observatory, Hawaii, in recent years, with average seasonal cycle removed. The second graph shows CO2 levels during the last three glacial cycles, as reconstructed from ice cores.

The time series below shows global distribution and variation of the concentration of mid-tropospheric carbon dioxide in parts per million (ppm). The overall color of the map shifts toward the red with advancing time due to the annual increase of CO2.

I totally agree. However, show me where that is happening. I know you know, but if we affect our own climate, we affect the European climate, the Chinese climate, etc. China, which is out polluting the rest of the earth since 2006, pollutes us.
OK...you didn't say Trump was responsible for the drought. I was very tired from a 10 hour shift when I read your reply...that's my reason...here's my apology...I apologize for misreading your words.
But lets look at logging. The industry has completely changed from just 30 years ago to now. I'm not saying that clear cutting isn't still happening, but there are machines that go right up to the tree, grab hold of it, cut it off close to the ground, then tip the tree over. Then the machine pulls the tree through cutters and from a standing tree, in about one and one half minutes, you have a log. This machine can snake around trees in close quarters and it doesn't harm the other trees in close proximity. It is selective harvesting and a great improvement over the past.
In my city, we used to have an explosive producing plant run by the government (we called it the TNT plant), and in the mornings, we always had yellow fog around the plant. That plant is gone now and in it's place we have Volkswagen and Amazon ( there are others also), both which produce very little pollution.
In fact, pretty much all of our old polluting industries are gone.
My point is that I believe we were over regulated. Our economy was slow, wages were stagnant, many people that wanted to start their own business were unable to do so because of costs involved in regulation.
Trump reduced regulations on logging...is this not a renewable resource? Trump opened up oil production in this country...we are just not ready to give up f****l f**ls technologically speaking. We are getting close but not there yet. Electric cars have come a long way but are still imperfect and too expensive for the average Joe.
Coal...as long as there is coal in the ground, we will need to use it. In my area, we have coal fired power plants (TVA). I'm not talking about chunks of coal being shuttled into a furnace, I'm talking high quality coal made as fine as flour and injected into the furnace like fuel injection on a car.
I agree with you that we need to save our planet, but we also have to live on it. Here are the biggest polluters in a list from 10 to 1. We are #2...looks bad but we feed and subsidize so many other countries (even China relies on our agriculture).
Under Trump we have reduced regulations, but our economy is strong and growing briskly, and more people of all races and g****rs are working than ever before ...except maybe during WWII.
So, I'm agreeing with you that we need to care for the planet, but it shouldn't be through taxes, i.e. big polluters can just pay higher taxes and roll right along.
But I'm disagreeing with you about belittling Trump and his cabinet when he is attempting to restore the USA as a front runner in the world, which is where we have been for a long time until we slid down the ladder under Obama ( I'm not knocking Obama, it's just what happened), and now we are pretty much back up there.
I believe that conservation AND our position in the world's pecking order are very important.
