I would NEVER ask NPP to hold my purse, he would remove the credit cards and cash before returning it to me. On the other hand, since he no longer drives, I could just go home with out him and he would need a taxi to get home, a 40 mile ride which would cost a lot. Besides, he could never find anything in it, around the dog collars, treats, and my extra wig and make up. Since I keep the car keys in my pocket, he would be SOL and he knows it, and is well trained.

WOW, your living the high life you could not ask for more than a very terrific husband. I only tried one of those one time long long ago he wasn't trained and kept jumping the fence. I'm just not a good trainer. Its nice to know someone that is a success at it. Bad luck seems to run in our family my sister was married 5 times my mother 3 times I stopped at 1 didnt want to go through all the BS again.

We have been married over 50 years, and have worked through the tough times a long time ago.

Good for you its hard to find someone worth working that hard for. I admire the marriages that stand the test of time. Most couples think its a breeze but a good marriage is like a garden that needs constant tending and a willingness to be a team and work together. I also fold laundry, sweep, and mop floors, vacuum rugs, and give massages.
I draw the line at scrubbing toilets. But I do provide her with the tools she needs to succeed in that endeavor.

I prefer washing the dishes, it is the only time in the winter that my hands are not cold. NPP does the vacuuming but I prefer washing the floors, while he takes all 4 dogs for a walk until I am done. Cleaning toilets we both do once a week, alternate days, just in case one gets forgetful. Fold laundry, NOT, take it out of the dryer dump it on the bed and each puts their own things away.Right now he is teaching the Staffy Bull to put away his own toys, as the other 3 do. I do a number of things NPP cannot do because of his scoliosis and arthritic problems,plus the heart problems, don't need any more bypass surgeries, if it can be avoided.

In other words, y'all work together on household chores, as we do. I take care of what bugs me, and she takes care of what bugs her. It's a balance thing, and we live in a clean, neat house that suits us both.
