Is Bundy the true face of the republicans?

People ASSUME he's a republican but I'll be damn if I can find a v****g record on him. He wants to keep the land his cattle on, he paid his state taxes and as usual the democrats want more. I have noted several of the western states have filed motions against the feds on the amount of land the feds think they own which at the current time is about 28% of the land. The feds take a little over 50% in royalties from mining, oil, and gas, among others, that operate on federal land.

After you've castigated an eighty year old, hard working American who is trying to make this federal government abide by the constitution, and apply a miniscule amount of fair play to all it's legal citizens, please examine those who currently reside in Washington, D.C. with that same merciless spotlight.

As an independent American, I'm proud of Cliven Bundy, and both the Republican party and the hundreds of individual Tea Party organizations across the U.S. should be equally proud.

The Media has been in a feeding frenzy misrepresenting his remarks on our nation's minorities, but anyone who searches the internet for ten seconds can find Mr. Bundy's entire unedited remarks:

I believe a large portion of the Republicans inability to accept Obama or the goverment (under Obama) goes to one reality (R****m) . There is no other reason to for such horrible vile hatred of this president other than R****m. They will not say they are R****t . You see it in their words and hatred.

So Albert, you enjoy being lied to. R****m has nothing to do with it. Just maybe you need a litter history instead reading the last 25 years of democratic talking points. As far back as:

The first African Americans to serve in the United States Congress were Republicans during the Reconstruction Era. After s***es were emancipated and granted citizenship rights, freedmen gained political representation in the Southern United States for the first time. The Compromise of 1877 initiated the period that followed, known as Redemption among white Southerners. White Democrats regained political power in state legislatures across the South and worked to restore w***e s*******y. Democrat state legislatures reduced v****g by b****s by passing more restrictive e*******l and v***r r**********n rules, amending constitutions to the same ends from 1890–1910, and passing Jim Crow laws to establish racial segregation and restrict labor rights, movement and organizing by b****s. The Democratic Party essentially dominated the "Solid South" until the 1960s. As a result of the African-American Civil Rights Movement, the U.S. Congress passed laws to end segregation and protect civil rights and v****g rights.

bmac, THAT is adorable!!!!
thats great, only everyone with ANY intellectual knowledge of history going back (even before your timeline) knows that party "values" have changed since then...

For example, I can absolutely positively say that not a single national republican leader is pushing for air, land and water protection/conservation as they did in the 70s under Nixon...
would you disagree?

Yes, your bigotry rises to the surface.
Your willingness to believe The New York Times without question or research shows you up for who your are.

Here are some thoughts from four B****s. Three men and one women.
As b****s, I'll take their thoughts over yours any day and one of them has met Bundy, so, I think he would know more, than some arm chair reader of the NY Times such as yourself.

All four have something you'll never have........................Intellectual honesty!

Goldwater was the only one pushing on any of them but at the time he was considered far to conservative. Funny how this all came to the forefront.

Yes, Southern, we can each call ourselves wh**ever we like, and much like Mr. Bundy, we cannot control what others call us.

Who are you to challenge anything I say?

Try that after you've discontinued your tried and true Democrat talking points, please.

Those who currently head the Republicans have not displayed either moral certainty or courage. Even after winning the House in 2010, they have failed to exercise the legitimate "power of the purse" as authorized by the Constitution.

I don't know who you perceive the darlings of the tea parties to be.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of independently organized tea parties throughout the country, none of them any more authoritative than the next.

The "talking heads" whether on Fox, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC or any other news outlet, are preoccupied with preening their own image
caused by an exalted sense of their own importance.

Any difference Fox ever had from the others has evaporated; Fox now has in place spokesmen who will exalt Jeb Bush as a "Democrat Lite" candidate for the next three years, and simultaneously find ways to disparage all other Republican or Conservative candidates.

All other networks will turn themselves inside out to promote Hillary Clinton, who has never done anything for anybody, except herself, and literally screams "phony" (to those who have ears to hear) every time she opens her mouth.

After closely observing the actions, policies and proclamations of the Obama administration for the last six years, on c-span and other political "reality events," I can t***hfully report they are liars without conscience who have been deliberately and unceasingly d******e.

That is their Alinsky training (which Obama once taught) in perpetual motion.

I have never heard a r****t statement from any politician or media spokesmen who is not a left wing supporter of Obama in recent years, and with them, very much as with your own "independent" statement, it is the entire message.

R****m and Misogyny is the message, the total message, because that's all they've got, and it's all that comes out of their collective mouths.

There has been no r****m on the part of the tea parties, or on the part of the Republican politicians. It is not there.

This president came into office because caucasians saw him as an opportunity to heal any residual wounds from the 19th century.

There is one Democrat, Evan Bayh, who would make an excellent president, but because he is fiscally sound in policy, he would never even be considered by the contemporary progressives.

I have been amazed to see formerly reasonable Democrats who had appeared honorable, jump into lockstep with this destructive, unt***hful and dishonorable strategy, coerced by a tyrannical- wannabee, occupation of the American people's White House.

Look to yourself, Southern, my perception is correctly engaged.

Incidentally, I don't know where in the south you are situated, but the Pacers just beat Atlanta. ;-)

I believe you are 99.9% wrong, Albert.

The Republicans, Independents, and Libertarians, as well as the other political factions within this country, were originally united in good wishes for the success of this president, until he unrolled his horrendous and utterly ruthless disdain for all those who, in anyway, on any issue, were not in lockstep with him.

He has never, for even one day since taking office, been president to "we the people," - all the citizens of the United States, in any way, shape or form.

His color, the amount of pigment in his skin, is not at issue in the mind of the public, other than being propagated by his own party as a political tool.

The hatred the left/Democrats/progressives constantly proclaim from the mountaintop, and every other high rise from coast to coast is the sum total of current political hatred in play. They own it all.

What you insist on interpreting as hatred is a love of country, a love of family, and an unwillingness on the part of the American people to see either destroyed by a regime that truly h**es them.
