As a species we have physical as well as psychological needs. The physical are basic to existence, the psychological basic to having a life. Much of who we are today is how both these imperative needs were met throughout our life. And any further into this gets a nearly useless complexity of theories and psychological schools. So let's go by experience from this point.
Are there people smarter and dumber than you? Are there people more or less aware than you? Are there people more or less insightful than you concerning anything. Do you have "blind spots," areas that may relate to certain predispositions on certain issues to react in certain ways or feel in certain ways, without directly knowing why or misreading the circumstances? I will not labor the point.
Conclusion: we all need to be more open and searching, relying on friends and maybe more often on the opposition to put rabbit ears on our vision for better perception. Some will get it perfectly and others perfectly wrong: but this spectrum exists. Look deeply, not just closely, and listen well. This, however, does not include me, for I rightly know everything. Amen?
