Of course there is no mentality mentality unless it meets your criteria. We do not live in your world nor comply to your standards. We are free to think for ourselves.

That is a pathetic response. Why don't you try again?

"We all have biases": does this mean everyone is unable to discern t***h? I have written a few times on "confirmation bias," which is a proven characteristic of the brain...for a number of people. Not all!

As a species we have physical as well as psychological needs. The physical are basic to existence, the psychological basic to having a life. Much of who we are today is how both these imperative needs were met throughout our life. And any further into this gets a nearly useless complexity of theories and psychological schools. So let's go by experience from this point.

Are there people smarter and dumber than you? Are there people more or less aware than you? Are there people more or less insightful than you concerning anything. Do you have "blind spots," areas that may relate to certain predispositions on certain issues to react in certain ways or feel in certain ways, without directly knowing why or misreading the circumstances? I will not labor the point.

Conclusion: we all need to be more open and searching, relying on friends and maybe more often on the opposition to put rabbit ears on our vision for better perception. Some will get it perfectly and others perfectly wrong: but this spectrum exists. Look deeply, not just closely, and listen well. This, however, does not include me, for I rightly know everything. Amen?

I usually put my sources when arguing for or against something, yet not too long ago an opinion piece by someone here on the Right strongly suggested this was somehow a defect. Fascinating. It also seems that using any fact checking sites for those on the Right is verboten and de facto proof one has drunk the "kool-aid." Just rely on those mass emails and Fox News, discrediting everything else no matter how true or factual and or easily verified. Or debunked, yet many do not even do that, just dismissing anything that conflicts with their confirmation bias.

My comprehension of "stuff" is far greater than yours, as is my command of English. I did not "attempt" to respond, you dolt, I responded.

Your posts, and by extrapolation, your opinions are pathetic, and deserve no better.

When Conservatives or Liberals dismiss Fact Checking & Neglect to Give Sources For Their Posts, It Shows a Disregard For the T***h... And I Deplore ANYONE Who Uses Foul Language & Denigrates Fellow Posters... Civility & Tolerance First... Critical Replies Second...

You might want to look up the word, extrapolation....or not.

You are probably a great deal smarter and more educated than I am, but I have seen any sign of either in your posts.

Two rational comments by two thinking people. Keep up the good work.

I believe, for what ever it is worth, that a baby learns so much easier than we adults because it's brain is not filled with preconceived biases which hinders it from learning. As we humans grow older we form opinions and biases that become an impediment to learning. For example, an event is an event to the simplest degree. Two people at assess it and different conclusions result.

Extrapolation is the taking of a known quantity or quality and extending it to a logical conclusion. My use of the word in the previous post is correct.
Your last sentence should read "but I have seen no sign of either in your posts."
The above two examples should provide an illustration of my point. Oh, my point?

HERE'S YOUR SIGN.

I agree and so does psychological research. Are you sure you are the Billhuggins who has been posting on this site? It appears you have done a complete 180 and you don't sound anything like your previous posts.

The point is at the top of your tinfoil hat. Grow up.
