The Republicans have big problems. They can't win the White House with just the v**es of their perpetually pissed angry white base.

They have to make inroads into the minority v**e as well as the v**e of modern women.

They have decided, in a P.R. move, to use political judo and take the Democrats strengths and convert them into "weaknesses".

The only problem is neither the minorities nor young women are so stupid as to believe the GOP's past pissing on their heads was just a form of rain.

Do you really think you will get the White House back again, when the "fish" repeatedly reject your baited "hooks?"

Individuals pay for their extravagence in their own generation; nations pay for it also in the next.

Most California conservative choose to live out i nthe boonies and want to be left alone to c***t on their taxes. They don't like the rules and regulations of the crowded metropolitan areas so a lot of them live in the woods. The fire season has doubled in the last few decades due to c*****e c****e and when the forest fire bears down on them they start screaming for a helicopter to come drop water on their house but they don'tv want to pay for it or any thing that's public. They would rather the liberals in the cities pay for it.

It's been my experience that it is conservatives who are short on facts. They famously deny science and reality, and appear to prefer swilling on propaganda of the type one can hear on right wing h**e radio and watch on the official republican propaganda chanell, Faux News Chanell

Yup, conservatives c***t on their taxes and live in the boonies - and liberals pay all their taxes and live in the cities - is it possible to have a more bent sense of reality? I doubt it

Those of us that live in the cities know the value of good government and believe in civilization and order, the need for rules regulations. Public education, public parks, public libraries, public highways. The commons that bring order to our lives. Otherwise there would Chaos. Conservatives prefer to live in rural areas where there is less gubmint, fewer rulles, stop lights , and they elect right wing wackos such as Darrel Issa The cities is where the innovation is occuring (the action) Conservatives if they had their way would like to repeal the 20th century and return to the 18th where they would be more comfortable

Yes sir, you liberal geniuses know how to operate - Detroit, New Orleans, Camden, Newark, Philadelphia, Chicago, LA, Cleveland, Cincy - all loaded with geniuses like you. Guess we dumb suburb living folks don't know what we're missing, but I for one prefer to leave the Detroit innovation and Chicago action to folks like you.

Those cities except for LA are in the rust belt and victims of the de industrialization of America. All of it made possible by neoliberal economic policies that has prevailed for the last 35-40 years.

So, for you it's all about identity politics - about race as the defining characteristic of a person.

As to who has done the most damage to b****s, tell us about the status of b****s in those areas most dominated by liberal Democrats. Did Republicans make places like Detroit, Camden, Newark, Philadelphia and Chicago the hell hole they've become for black people?

As to income ine******y, look at perhaps the bluest state in the union, the one with the most billionaires, California. Look at the most prominent politicians - Pelosi, Boxer and Feinstein - all multi-millionaires - the state with the biggest disparity. If you want to see poverty that resembles the worst in Appalachia, take a trip to Yuba City -or Modesto - or Stockton - and virtually any other non-coastal area.

Sure - anything good in the cities is because of liberals - and the devastation is because of conservatives. Somehow in the minds of people like you, de-industrialization had nothing to do with policies that made industrial organizations reconsider where they locate, yet the same de-industrialization causes gang bangers shooting each others and anyone nearby. Your intellectual gymnastics are impressive.

Not from the reports I read - but anyone who knows anything about the differences between the coastal rich and the interior poor know liberalism is hardly the answer to income ine******y

So now we know why Democrats are adopting economic ine******y as their central issue: because their constituents, the people who live under policies crafted by the left, are the ones who experience the highest degree of income ine******y in their own lives.

That's the upshot of a recent study of income ine******y organized by congressional district: "Across the country, ine******y is lower in Republican districts than in Democratic ones" and is "highest in the New York district of Representative Jerry Nader, a liberal Democrat." Who has the congressional district with the least income ine******y? That would be Tea Party favorite Michele Bachman who represents suburban Minneapolis.

So no wonder Democrats are enamored with all of that rhetoric about ine******y and class warfare. Their constituents, the audience they are addressing, are far more likely to live in the American equivalent of Rio de Janeiro, a class society starkly divided between squalid, hopeless, crime-ridden favelas and safe, beautiful downtown playgrounds for the rich.

As usual, the Democrats are arsonists posing as the fire brigade, offering to solve a problem they created.

If you will please note, I said neolibeal economic policies over the last 35-40 years are responsible for the de-industrialization of America not Republicans or Democrats but both political parties are responsible. I'm old enough to remember when there was no gang banging in Metropolitan areas such as Oakland or Richmond California. And black families had an adult male figure head.

Neoliberalism has been devastating to the black communities all over the US. While re -distributing the national income from the many to the few. It has failed every where it's been tried

well nick, you must be in your twilight years to remember that because it was LBJ's 'great society' in the early 60's that purged (all heart no brainz) the black family of the family unit by the way of welfare...men weren't allowed. welfare needs to be purged.
