Yes, got an eyefull of BD's M.O...I kind of feel sorry for the guy, where else could he use his 11 cent Dictionary of the Liberal Language other than in a non-political chat where a joke was told? Where exactly is the 44th least free state, my ignorance is showing.

Oh yeah, other than Japan & open ocean, it's where we spent most of our WestPac cruise. Such a beautiful place & the natives seemed friendly enough (grin).

Absolutely no joke that has been posted that was "socially acceptable" has he approved.

You will have to do your work to find the "44th Least Free State"; however, you reside in the #3 state for freedom. Congratulations. 👍👏😊

I was over in Hawaii during that time and I v**ed for him too. I didn't really notice how Carter impacted the Navy, but if it were a snake back then, it would have bit me. I was in the western pacific when the N. Korean soldiers hacked up some of our solidiers over a tree trimming incident. We were going to be dispatched to perform some good ol' naval gunfire support on NK when Carter decided to try diplomacy. I really appreciated that. Other than for that one thing, I never could endorse another democrat again. Never knew he was related to the Kennedys, but wouldn't fall over to find that out.

I didn't find out until after I cast my v**e. He was another "Hope and Change" huckster. Remember his "Moral Equivalent of War?" (Otherwise known as "MEOW?" ).

Well, you forced me to tap my trusty Fox News Insider source, but it has me at #3 and Maryland at #44, I assume then this is you?

Some guys have all the dang luck. What aircraft carriers did you serve on? I know we escorted the Kitty Hawk and Ranger around but, my memory is getting foggy on this now.

Can't read the very bottom of it, what does that say? Business cards and bumper sticker, being in Georgia, not sure if the "positive comments" was tongue in cheek or not. The bible-belt & the south in general, sure isn't what it use to be.

Sorry Dutch, I made a mistake, it's Loki that's in Georgia you live in God's Country, CO. I have a newphew living there, a old shipmate from Denver that sang its praises all the flippin' time and, my favorite bible teacher Bob Enyart is there. Ever listen to him?

God, I can hardly remember what I had for super a few hours ago. There were many of us who v**ed (got sucked in) by him and, he seemed like a good decision at the time. I have a list two miles long of things I've done that seemed liked a good decision at the time. I can't wait until Google makes those 20/20 hindsight glasses so I can stop the horror

I did a short stint on the Lake Champlain out of Quonset Pt. RI, Rode the FDR out of Mayport FL, then the Big “E” out of Norfolk,VA, Put the America In commission, then the Saratoga out of Mayport. Then on the left coast I rode the Coral Sea twice, the Big “E” again and the Carl. Vinson out of Alameda, CA. I cross decked to the Ranger Boat and Kitty Hawk both just for the deployment..
The Coral Sea was the best Ship I ever served on.....
I did 2 tours in the PI, 1 in Taipei Taiwan, Misawa Japan and Diego Garcia. and I was a LC-130F load master flying support for Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica. Then the powers to be decided I has spent to much time over seas and sentenced me to recruiting duty...

Wow, what a fantastic career! I've only watched documentaries about life on carriers, truly magnificent ships. I spent all my time except for bootcamp & A School at Pearl Harbor. First on the USS Sample, then at Fleet Training Group. I did get to cruise and, went to Japan, the PI, Taiwan & Hong Kong. I liked that, "sentenced me to recruiting duty", I guess so, after all your colorful duty stations. The Navy is tough, but somebody has to do it, right?

When I went to FTG Ford Island, I got a house right behind the Arizona Memorial. I thought being a FTG Observer was pretty slick, the ships would pick us up in PH & drop us off at night. They called that neutral duty. I sure thought the Navy was pretty great, I got married, got out and became a CPA (shudder). After about a few years, I called the recruiter & asked them to send me back to PH. They didn't have a billet for me there, but if I left that night, they'd put me on a mine sweeper in S.D., I was kept in Tennessee by a higher command, women have no sense of adventure...
