It seems that Tom Perez, the head man of the Democrat Party really thinks that the victory of Cortez is the beginning of the end of the Democrat Party and the real beginning of the Democratic Socialist Party although he is the head of the Democrat Party. It seems to me that a lot of left leaning Democrats around here will end up looking pretty foolish. Maybe some of you people need to start paying attention to what is going on around you. For instance, this woman has the same thinking as Bernie Sanders and has worked for him, before. The scary part of this is that Democratic Socialists are what want to k**l us off and establish c*******m. Read this thing and then lets have a discussion. Hell in her own words she admits it. Saw her interviewed. She's entitled to her views of course. Problem I have is she thinks she's entitled to making me and others pay for her l*****t utopia. I did find it interesting that this woman wants college free and college loan forgiveness since she happens to owe a bunch of college loans. And they say Trump's self serving.

I am pretty sure you didn't read the whole article and that you don't know much about Medicare. For instance I paid on it for a number of years and then on my birthday in 1997 I got a letter from my insurance company that I was no longer one of theirs but belonged to Medicare. I wasn't happy with that but when I had go have a huge surgery to keep my heart going I got a bit more happy with the thing. Of course, you aren't of retirement age so you aren't on Medicare and don't know that you get just over $100 per month taken from your SS check as your Medicare payment. Did you read those words? Maybe you need to go back a line or two so you can learn a little something.

I remember that you are a Democratic Socialist but there are so few of them outside your part of the country. Right? In reading the woman's beliefs I see why you are so supportive of her and like her so much.

You say you read that thing, how about these words from the article that you read? The goal of Socialism IS C*******m, I have been in a C*******t Country, peoples lives are "Controlled" by the Government, you can work your azz off and get the same pay a non worker gets. Your life is monitored, there is no such thing as a Private life, none. You gain nothing in life, the Only people who benefit from Socialism or C*******m are the Politicians.

Whoops those words came from a comment to that article. I always read, at least some of them, and this one said too much about what others I have known who have been in Russia told me about that place.

We absolutely live in a Social Democracy right now...the entire western world does....40 % of the country is on GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTHCARE!!......whether you paid for insurance or not ...when you reach a certain age, you are eligible for Medicare....if you use Medicare today, you are taking part in a Socialized Government run program....you can always give it up if you like to make a point....

nobody wants c*******m...that's just silly nonsense..hell, I own my own business !! I certainly don't want that...what we have in this Country is a combination of Free Market...Capitalism...Social Programs....social services and welfare programs....all of these on their own is a disaster.....I just think in some ways ( like the rest of Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia ) that especially healthcare should be considered a right...not a privilege ....and that education is an investment.....that does not make me a Socialist....I simply think this is the best thing for our Country
