No It did not give me a boner. The point is the Old testament is filled with debauchery and cannot claim the moral high ground with Islam but the vast majority of Christian ignore the gore and cherry pic the good parts and the vast number of Muslims do the same. I'm fact the problems in the mid east are geo political and not about religion but the leaders of the resistance toward the west use the religion to rally volunteers
