The bottom line is that the office of President of The United States is very expensive to run regardless of who is President. Wherever the President go's it gums up traffic and airports, inconvienances the locals and requires a huge security detail. The debate should be about the value of p**********l travel to Americans and if the cost of security is too great. Just reading some of the threats implied and actual posted here makes it pretty obvious why the Secret Service is so cautious, again regardless of who holds the office. The British Prime Minister and Royals often fly first class on British Airways and members of the opposition piss and moan about the cost, they would melt down over the cost of Air Force One. Too much money spent? perhaps but it has little to do with red or blue.
