If you post links to back up you position and someone says that all the links were stupid republican rant articles, or that the person you are quoting is a stupid wingnut, then post no links themselves to back up their opinions, the human nature will require you to react viscerally.

I'm sorry it came off as condescending, it was not my intention to insult you. I was trying to provide insight how your words are perceived by someone on the other side of the aisle. If you don't care, then don't bother reading the rest of this post.

I've served as a moderator for other forums in the past and know the cycle of flames all too well. H**e begets h**e. Even little things can spark a flame war, or worse, cause someone to ignore a wonderful point you make. Someone has to be the bigger person and break the cycle.

You will find that when confronted with behavior as you described, the best solution is to remain calm. Lowering yourself down to their level is what they (as in all trolls) want.

Thank you for your post. I have virtually ended anything on this site because history, facts.....pure history of the world.....means nothing.
I have repeatedly written of the financial history and a minuscule segment of the Jewish population and their goals for the world....to be bashed repeatedly....in spite of what exists before us in the present in the proceeding course of the plans for world domination.
I have repeatedly written of the Nicean/Nicene Council who, appointed by the emperor, Constantine, actually picked and chose the books of the Bible....to be bashed repeated.
Do any of those "bashers" check historical facts? Not on your life! Do they research? Aw...forget that!
There is only ONE thing I've sought in life...as a foundation for life....and that is the t***h. But, that's the last thing this group wants. I wonder how much better off the world would be if we, the entire public, insisted on the t***h from politicians and religious leaders. Wanta guess?
We sure as heck would not be in the shape we're in...and headed in the direction we're going, would we?
But, regrettably, most don't care, don't want the t***h, and follow blindly.....giving allegiance to political parties and religious influences instead of allegiance to OUR COUNTRY and the T***H....which would certainly lead us in the right direction and out of this mess.
I was surprised to see in the Waco paper an article today an article on the fact that the US was NOT established as a Christian nation....with supporting facts. Surprised? The founding fathers made sure, until the controlling influence of religion began to creep in, that everyone was free to worship ANY religion they chose.....based on the experience they had had in their home countries. And, please remember, that a basic tenet of the foundation of our country is(was) separation of church and state, which has basically been forgotten, run over, and squished in the dirt.
As to the historical facts of the Jewish financial influence and plans....I was at a Senior Kiwanis meeting...and gave my views. I nearly fell out my chair when a 30 year tenured history professor from the local school of higher learning backed me up on ALL points.......to which these sterling men and women, older leaders of Waco actually asked for more facts and a meeting to discuss "things we've never heard that influence the country". Wonders never cease! At least some.....Republicans ALLLLL.....wanted to know the t***h....about the political....AND the religious. Why? They are afraid for our country.....and want to know the T***H as to why things are as they are.
As I said, I have virtually ended any participation here.....because of those who prefer to have their heads in the sand.....and do not and would not, for the life of them, seek or value any segment of t***h.....and do everything to deny my right to speak/write.
The only redeeming factor is that, if the progression continues, I'll be able to say, "I told you so".....which I would much prefer not to do....but, there is nothing so dark as a closed mind. It's a shame those closed minds are bring our country to rack, ruin, and domination we have never imagined. But, the, that's also what the Jews believed, thought, and discussed as they were loaded into railroad cars to the prison camps. Their voices are silent now.

"In Germany they came first for the C*******ts, and I didn't speak up
because I wasn't a C*******t. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up
because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't
speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by
that time no one was left to speak up."
by Martin Niemaller, prominent German anti-N**i theologian and Lutheran
pastor, best known as the author of the poem.

History continues to repeat itself.....until we learn from history.....to NOT repeat the mistakes of previous civilizations and countries. It's OUR choice.

One of my greatest wishes for the United States of America is that this be the FIRST country in the history of the known world......in which history did NOT repeat itself.

I can dream, can't I?

Not according to some on this site.

You are all i***ts. Does that statement upset you? Would it be easier to swallow if I said I was an i***t too? The answers would be yes and no, respectively, I expect. No, I am not actually calling any of you i***ts, that was a ploy. The point is, name calling doesn't do anything, except distract from the discussion. I AM an i***t sometimes, but I decide that, not you. When someone calls me a name, I either own it or forget it and then I'm done with it. It means nothing.

Labeling things or people doesn't change a thing about them or it, it only changes your attitude towards them. One person gives a dollar to a homeless man, another gives a sandwich. Which one is a liberal and which a conservative? I bet you tried to answer that question, but here's the thing, you can't, because you don't know WHY each person did what they did. You tried to label them anyway, with little information, because that's the way we have learned to do things. I suggest we stop "reading between the lines" and "mind reading" when dealing with people.. Labeling is actually SELF destructive, as it closes our minds to possibilities that might be of benefit to us.

Resolving problems first requires identifying the problem and the problem is NEVER ideology. The color orange is a certain frequency in the light spectrum and one's ideology has no effect on that. Accepting different viewpoints as valid, does not change ideology. From one perspective, the orange may appear more red, from another more yellow, but it is STILL orange. That means that all viewpoints have value and using the aggregate of them can lead to a more complete picture. Rejecting another viewpoint because it differs from one's own, is a self defeating action. Trying to get a glimpse of the bigger picture, REQUIRES examining other viewpoints. Those with a camera phone mentality will never have the IMAX 360 ability to deal effectively with problems. Too many people use "selfies" as their way of understanding the World.

Matter of fact, I agree with you on most things. I have posted similar. Any mention of a certain group of financiers in anything other than glowing terms is verboten. These people are no more Jewish than Mohammed. They have Jewish last names because of Jewish antecedents. Judaism is nothing more than a cloak of convenience, to be put on and taken off as needed. The same people who belittle others as "conspiracy theorists" and "birthers." have no trouble believing the fiction of manmade G****l W*****g, because it dovetails with their political agenda/beliefs. I posted excerpts from the Catholic Encyclopedia and Brittanica concerning the cherry picking of what was included in the Bible, also of the Nicene Council's actions regarding the Sabbath, numerous other things. It did no good. All we do is preach to the converted.

Well, you're traumatizing the rest of us. Where are all you folks who stay in the shadows, who do not speak out? Content to stay there? If there ever was a chance to speak out for rational and decent expression of thought, this would be it.

Funny, I spent 2 days last week engaging Bo in dialog that specifically was designed to not result in name calling, insults or rude disrespectful responses. I do believe I met my objective with him but others found it necessary to inject rude derogatory comments into the conversation.

Even to say oh two progressives patting each other on the back.

Really people ???

But even he and I could when we choose "not" to be disrespectful can realize even as ideologically different as we maybe that we can find common ground. But the moment we digress we distract and all communication ends.

Yes, of course. People who agree with each other can usually have a conversation without rancor, but that's not a discussion. I've read posts, on this thread, where folks couldn't help them selves with the labeling. Labeling an idea/statement (liberal) is an error, as is labeling people who disagree (trolls).

There is no logic to labeling, if you cannot understand what is said by the words written, do not respond to them. Labeling is a self imposed filtering mechanism, from which no incompatible information can pass. Discussion is terminated before it begins. One cannot discuss anything with someone who refuses to consider any ideas except their own, and trying to reason with them will fail, due to the filters they have imposed.

Responding to name calling by doing the same, puts you in the same boat, I call it the "USS Neversail", as all parties on that boat are going nowhere. Saying " I'll stop when THEY stop" doesn't change the course, you're still aboard and going nowhere with them.

Exactly! Agreeing with anyone not of your caucus is forbidden. Even discussing anything with the other side is considered a betrayal. I think they should go to colors instead of parties. We already have the crips and bloods up there, so it's just a matter of which gang you want to get beaten into. :P

Hi Stan - No worries about me being a liberal. Hope my user name gives you an idea where I stand. I don't believe our country needs a "fundamental change" and I have a big problem with anyone who preaches "God damn America."

When the House does agree, the Senate does nothing, as almost everything that passes the House does so with a Republican majority. The Senate then refuses to do anything and blames House Republicans for the stalemate. It is not just the internecine bulls**t in the House. It is Humdinger Harry in the Senate. There is a piece of parlimentary chicanery known as "filling the amendment tree," which was used, up until the reign of Reid, only rarely, to stifle opposition from the minority party, and prevent any amendments from being added to legislation. Harry Reid has used this bludgeon more than twice as many times as the last 6 Senate Majority Leaders (both parties), combined. He is Obama's rubberstamp to make the Senate his own little fiefdom. Between Harry the humdinger, and Boehner the spineless in the House, it is a God's wonder we have a country left.

Perhaps slowly but surely things may be changing for the better. Your post on Love was great. I copied it, and will one day use it to build either a sermon or Bible study. I didn't ask permission as I didn't think it to be copy righted material, but certainly wonderful and much needed facts from God's word. I will say thank you so much for the research.

I can't decide if we have gang warfare up there or a cartoon strip. Maybe we could have anonymous folk through ideas down on the floor and then let the labeling begin. Since no one would know which gang the idea came from, they'd be confused about how to deal with it. I suppose they could use a roulette wheel to determine it's color, THEN the games could begin.

I think the republicans are toning it down to allow themselves the best possible out come next fall, they really only need 5 additional senators next fall and then we will see what happens.

The president made a good play in Montana but if the republicans pick the right fights with the right attack maybe we can force the president to sit down the table and talk.
