jack;
For someone to make remarks like you do, it shows ignorance, disrespect, and the knowledge of a grapefruit.
Obama care was designed from ideas that were thought up by republicans, but as I've said before, they were just faking the funk to get v**es, as they always do.
And they knew they were never going to follow through with it, they were doing the same thing J. Boner did in 2010, when he lied, and swore that he had listen to the people, and he and his cronies were going to create jobs, because that is what the people wanted.
republicans lie a lot, and since they have really gullible people, that actually believe their B/S, they keep them well fed with B/S.
As we all know by now, except for the "Well fed" they haven't created a single job, just like they knew they had no intention to ever follow through with the health care promise.
Because republicans do not give a damn about anybody, that can't come up with a few billion dollars at any given time.
republicans will do ANYTHING, except what it takes to actually earn a v**e.
That is why they are so busy, trying to c***t certain people out of their rights to v**e, that is pretty low, but they don't care if it will get them a v**e.
republicans are a very bad influence on everything, especially our children.
The fact that our children are more into politics now than ever before.
They hear, and even witness republicans c***ting, lying, and disrespecting others, just like you do.
And I really don't give a damn, about your thinking, or saying that I am playing some kind of race card.
Because with me, you will only get the t***h, and what I truly feel.
It really pisses me off, when I see people like you, and so many other republicans, teaching our children to be bigots, and r****t, just because there is a black man in our white house.
You have that "Nugent" sickness, and that is the very type thing that is tearing this country apart, and down.
As I wrote earlier, I really do not give a damn about what you think, that is your problem.
But, I do care about our children being influenced by that foul, disrespectful crap, that they are witnessing from people like you.

What's tearing this country apart is people like you who are the true bigots of this country. Your President has done nothing but lie ever since he got into the WH and while he was running for office. He has not kept a single promise that was made. He had the majority in both Houses of Congress for 2 years and could have gotten wh**ever he wanted done. All he did was ram Obamacare down the country's throat and lie about what it would do. "If you want to keep your insurance, you can keep your insurance, period."
I'm not going to spell out all the lies he has told because it has been posted on this forum a number of times, but it doesn't matter to you because no matter what, some white guys says he is lying, it's r****m.
The only r****t in this country today are the B****s and the Muslims, period. Like it or not, that is the t***h but that doesn't matter to a r****t.

Floyd, you are right.....especially the last sentence. But, we really do not get a choice.
We are GIVEN choices by the powers that be. And, those "choices" are bought and paid for.
Until we remove the supreme court decisions allowing super pacs and unlimited donations, we have no power to choose and elect politicians responsible to the public.....not the billionaires like the Koch brothers.....where the money=power now lies.....and thus results in e******ns not propitious to US well being.
Time will tell if the US public will ever get off its azz and do something. At this point, I haven't much hope.

As long as people like us on this site stay divided little progress will be made.

Only when the masses present a strong united front will they truly listen to what we have to say.

There is no doubt in most of our minds that things could be better.

The idea that both parties have only their best interests in mind is clear to most of us.

We need to cut back on negative posts & look for the good in people. After all we have much more in common than we differ.

In our day to day life's we need to remember that it is so much about money. Our spending is what makes for a sound economy. How & what we spend our money on is the real power we have.

When the masses lack the money to buy the things produced.
Monied interests look to the government to keep money flowing to them. (The war machine for one.)

We need to spend our money wisely.
We need to spend at places that treat us & the help well.
We need to make sure that we stop spending tomorrows money today. We don't need to give so much money to the banks.

We need to make it clear to them that they need us more than we need them. Progress as been good for many. But progress is leaving many behind.

A leader is not a leader with out a follower. Leaders are not born leaders. Followers make leaders. We need to tell people what they need to do for us to follow them.

We just need to chose our leaders more carefully.

You are all i***ts. Does that statement upset you? Would it be easier to swallow if I said I was an i***t too? The answers would be yes and no, respectively, I expect. No, I am not actually calling any of you i***ts, that was a ploy. The point is, name calling doesn't do anything, except distract from the discussion. I AM an i***t sometimes, but I decide that, not you. When someone calls me a name, I either own it or forget it and then I'm done with it. It means nothing.

Labeling things or people doesn't change a thing about them or it, it only changes your attitude towards them. One person gives a dollar to a homeless man, another gives a sandwich. Which one is a liberal and which a conservative? I bet you tried to answer that question, but here's the thing, you can't, because you don't know WHY each person did what they did. You tried to label them anyway, with little information, because that's the way we have learned to do things. I suggest we stop "reading between the lines" and "mind reading" when dealing with people.. Labeling is actually SELF destructive, as it closes our minds to possibilities that might be of benefit to us.

Resolving problems first requires identifying the problem and the problem is NEVER ideology. The color orange is a certain frequency in the light spectrum and one's ideology has no effect on that. Accepting different viewpoints as valid, does not change ideology. From one perspective, the orange may appear more red, from another more yellow, but it is STILL orange. That means that all viewpoints have value and using the aggregate of them can lead to a more complete picture. Rejecting another viewpoint because it differs from one's own, is a self defeating action. Trying to get a glimpse of the bigger picture, REQUIRES examining other viewpoints. Those with a camera phone mentality will never have the IMAX 360 ability to deal effectively with problems. Too many people use "selfies" as their way of understanding the World.
You are all i***ts. Does that statement upset you?... (show quote)

This is an excellent summary of the problem of name calling. However the people who need it probably won't read it.

Banjojack,

Because I know you will speak your mind and seem to see things with an open mind, I'd like your feedback on my perspective that is close to what you just commented on.

It seems Ted Cruiz promised through his leadership that more v**ers would side with the Republican party and he could get Obamacare repealed.

We know for now, Obama Care, despite the delays and bungling of the role out, is still being enacted. Even Red states like North Dakota, Arizona, Iowa, and New Jersey have adopted the ACA. I think it safe to say some feel mislead by Ted Cruiz because of that.

Depending what your source of information is, blame is mostly put on either the President, all of congress, Republicans, Democrats, or even the Tea Party. It safe to say everyone in government, President and Congress among others have been blamed for mismanaging our Government.

I think upcoming e******ns, regardless of what polls you believe to be true, could show if the Republicans make any gains in Congress because of the ACA and then Ted Cruiz could take ownership of that.

Finally and most concerning to me is that there seems to be a division going on in the Republican party. Some republicans see the Tea Party as a minority stake holder attempting to take over the broader party agenda. The Tea Party successfully has taken down some alleged "RINO's". The blowback now is the speaker of the house and other Republicans have started a campaign to discredit the Tea Party. I fear that this infighting could make the Republican Party less effective in e******ns, and making more v**ers leaning right feeling left out in the political process.

Other in the 1PP are also invited to chime in of course.

Jack-St. Peter would not have been successful in repealing Obamacare ,regardless of him having a pre-ponderance of evidence indicating that it needed to go, as long as Obama was in office. Believe the Freedom
Caucus is now the thorn in the side of the GOP only because they want to do what they promised the American people they would do if given the opportunity. Ryan and company wanted to pass a Health Care bill just for the sake of having done so, without doing any of the leg work required to see if it would do the intended job. Results were that premiums would increase for two more years before they headed downward (in other words, trust us as it will happen). To go off half -cocked to meet a self- imposed deadline is both naive and foolish. The only way to drain the swamp in DC is term/age limits for congress. Most of the old timers will do wh**ever it takes for them to retain their jobs which often is diametrically opposed to what would be good for the country as a whole. These are professional politicians who could not hold a job in the private sector so they hang on and l***h off the taxpayer for a lifetime. The system is totally corrupt on both sides of the aisle and it will take a strong, determined president years to clean it up if it ever can be done. Trump is trying but faces stiff opposition from democrats and the media so it is an uphill battle. Never, have I seen a president so outwardly villified and dis-respected by the opposition and the media as is Trump. We can only hope that he will remain strong and resolute and do the job
to which he was elected and show the world what America is made of. PS. Re labelling/name calling-good post. Will try to temper remarks and avoid labels as they really do not serve any useful purpose except to vent. America First !!!

I agree with some of your points such as term limits for politicians. In addition we need to get big money out of politics. As long as politicians have to amass a huge War chest in order to be elected, first of all they can't keep their mind on what they're supposed to, and secondly they can be bought by the people who contribute to them.
Trump is being vilified on several counts. One is that he makes blunders, huge blunders such as calling Pakistan and saying how wonderful they are when they are archenemies of India whom we do not want to alienate.
He is being vilified because he's signing executive orders reversing things that are highly important to people. Take for an example, environmental regulations. I live near the Great Lakes and there's all sorts of things that need to be done to keep the Great Lakes in good shape. This needs to be done on a federal level since there are multiple States surrounding these Lakes. Defunding the EPA and cutting back on hiring people for the EPA will most likely keep the great lakes from being repaired.
These are just a few of the examples that people are upset about.
