Yes.....and she was the one who took the pic and tweeted it for all to see.

All I see them doing is sitting there. Since there is no food on the plates, "dining" is a made up fact. People shoot pics of their dogs sitting on all kinds of things. See what I mean?

It was as out of touch and disrespectful as the photo of Obomber with his feet u[p on the desk in the Oval office. That is not his desk despite what the Clintons and Obombers seem to think. They'll have to be watched as close as the Clintons when they leave the WH.

They'll have a secret service detail, don't worry. It was no more disrespectful than my grandmothers picture of me naked, laying on a bear skin by the fireplace. I was 30 at the time, but still.

If you cannot find facts to support a pet theory, just make them up. Repeat them to as many people as possible and some will believe them. Those people will repeat them to a number of others and some of THEM will believe it. Repeat this pattern often enough and eventually, enough people will believe them that they will become fact.

People believe things to be fact because;

a: They wish them to be true
b: They fear them to be true
c: They know them to be true, by verification.

If the majority of people believe something to be fact, it is, for all intents and purposes. This is what I call the "self verification" system. "I believe this to be true because everybody else does". Using the above method, ANYTHING can become fact. Scientific verification is not necessary, self verification is sufficient for most people.

Even here on this forum this phenomenon is rampant. People are using each other as verification. Many of the links posted are extensions of the self verification system. Stating " I believe this to be true" has no value unless accompanied by a link to a site where there are others who also " believe this to be true". Scientific verification not required.

I believe this to be true, I defy you to prove otherwise.
If you cannot find facts to support a pet theory, ... (show quote)

Incredibly astute and extremely timely. Two things come to mind. The first one being...you won't get a lot of Amens shouted from the Hallelujah chorus corner of the choir. The second "might" be the reason why you aren't hearing a lot of Amens from that section of the choir and I would offer the opinion that it "might" be that a lot of folks are looking in the mirror to see if they recognize the individual they see looking back at them -- and they aren't happy with what they see.

That said, it is time to turn things around, is it not -- no more fueling one another, no more fiction, because we desperately want "our side" to be true, and therefore "right" -- actual facts being stated. Who knows what we might accomplish.

I know that my grandmother could do no wrong as a grandmother, It may not have been so with her as a mother or wife. But to me she was every thing a grandmother should be.

That is what grandmothers are for.

Was your grandmother in the White House representing 315 million American citizens....almost half of which are having a hard time making ends meet?

I didn't think so.
