bmus, please don't get me started on Gore... Just typing that name raises my blood pressure... Sorry liberals, but that is an inconvenient t***h!

   Don't worry about it, Bob. The Progressives live with a LOT of inconvenient t***hs - most of them horrible mistakes made by Progressives.

Just so you know, I don't like referring to "liberals" when in fact these jerks we are dealing with these days are not liberals. They are "progressives"/socialists/c*******ts/Marxists. The primary way they compare to liberals is that they are all collectivists. Liberals had principles. Most liberals were decent people. Progs possess nothing of any moral value.

Remember when people listened to elders because they understood that experience went hand in hand with knowledge? Now, people of age are just considered stupid or out of touch. We seem to have worked very hard to forget what made this country great.

Yes, I remember when people listened to their elders. In some places, that's still happening. I don't know where you live, but if elders aren't respected and their opinions considered there, I feel sorry for you.

What made this country great? If you look at the Founding Fathers, it wasn't the advice of their elders. Most notable among the Founding father is their relative youth.

Work? done mostly by people in their late 20s-through 50s. Fighting? Done almost exclusively by those 18-25.

So what about the elderly? It is the "liberal" programs of Social Security and Medicare that has provided those who have worked and fought for their nation a quality of life that previous generations didn't always look after unless the elderly were family.

And that desire to care for those who fought in their youth and worked in their prime is what makes our nation great.

OK a kid who 30+ years ago distributed leaflets for a group opposed to Ayatollah Khomeini, for a group "once deemed a terrorist group" by the US government, now 30+ years later, is being denied residency in a country where he has resided peacefully an lawfully for decades.

OK-Menachem Begin and Yitzak Shamir were once deemed terrorists with the British government actually having bounties on their heads. begin opened bragged about bombing the King David Hotel k*****g dozens. Shamir was known as a leader of the group that murdered 270 women, children and old men in the village of Dir Yassan.

Yet, decades after Begin's and Shamir's terrorist activities, we not only welcomed them to our country, but showered the governments they headed with billions in US aid.

The key phrase in that story is "was once considered."

And, of course the rabid right and the serial Obama h**ers use this as proof that Obama loves terrorists. So, who ordered the k*****g of Osama bin Laden. George W. bush, who once hosted bin Laden at the family ranch, said going after bin Laden "wasn't important."

So this is you intelligent rebuttal or conversation concerning the president relaxing rules for terrorist entering the country. How insightful and brilliant of you. You should probably run for Congress or President. You are probably more qualified than Obama.

Surely you know by now, bdamage, that facts matter not to progressives. If they FEEL something it is true. If they dont FEEL something it is false.

It is also about intentions. If they feel one has the right liberal intentions then t***h does not matter and the end justifies the means.

Yes Tasine, you are correct.

But I would like to believe that H-F would lean more Libertarian than a far left libo.

Also, I wanted to point out this projected ammo-grab to our friends who advocate the 2nd amendment. Any info on what the DHS is up to could be good and or vital knowledge for the future.

Did anyone here read the specifics of the case??????
This is a case of righting a wrong strong-arm general policy enforced by the government. Conservatives should be applauding this.

Well, it's always worth a try to get through - that's the only reason I am here: to try to get through to whoever I can that we are in deep, DEEP trouble. So many cannot see facts because their beliefs or their Party stand in the way.

Another case where the headline looks awful but, on examining the details, it's a case of reasoning through a complicated history where people change sides with changing circumstances.

It's so much easier seeing the world as black and white. Sometimes you need brains to see gray.

Actually most of these yahoos have paint-by-numbers art on their living room walls. Graded and subtle lighting are as confusing to them as a cat following a laser pointer.
