I wish some of y'all would read your comments, you might see so many traits you're quick to label on others. Although, this is a much more calm site than the Tea Party, Conservative and Fox sites, where a 9th should be added... Use of Glack.

I don't mind how your "taxas" dollars are spent. Just don't impose on me and others how ours (and mine) are spent. It's damned too easy to spend Other People's Money. but how difficult is to spend your own. Please tell that to the Muslim in Chief.

The only sites where manners, decorum, and intelligence reign are those that are closed sites. I've bounced around to various of these sites, and this one is as good as the next one. My reason for leaving is usually the hatred that is spewed constantly. The last site I quit harassed me about using pictures to prove my points - they didn't like those pictures because they were too gory. The implication was that it is acceptable to DO gory things, but it is not acceptable to SHOW that gory result. Why? Because it may make the ones doing the gory things feel badly about doing those gory things. If you can make sense of that circle of logic, I do hope you will explain it to me.

Every site will have both left and right, and anyone going in with a decent attitude will soon either leave, or have that decent attitude sucked out of him.

BTW, NO argument between the left and the right is EVER won. When the argument is over, both sides have lost because the two sides don't speak the same language, don't have a single thing in common from which to grow. Both sides speak from sincerity, but it is impossible to maintain civility when one side wants to find solutions to problems and the other side denies there are problems, hence no solutions are needed. Simply put, the left's only problem they can recognize is the existence of the right. The only problem the right has with the left is that the right gives the left too much credit for intelligence, and argues his case passionately to people who don't even listen. So, the impasse is: the right won't go away and the left will settle for nothing but total control - no other views permitted.

I never knew how sick America had become until I began posting, and I now know that America cannot be saved and I wonder if it is even worth saving now. I fail to see how we can ever recover any vestige of decency and good will. Our politicians, particularly of the left have worked their tails off to divide us, and it is the one thing they have succeeded at. We will always be at odds with the socialists/c*******ts/progressives/democrats, all one and the same in reality. Our government is a sham and has gone rogue, our President is a divider extraordinaire, our Congress is worthless and totally incompetent, our courts don't even know what justice is, let alone administer any justice. Morality and religion are made fun of and ridiculed at every opportunity. The only people in our country worth a dime are some of the ordinary citizens who have absolutely NO SAY in anything that is done.

If I were Atlas and could shrug, I WOULD.
Please don't leave us. We need every bit of sanity that is out there. It is a commodity in very, very short supply.

I agree with most everything in your post and have come to the same conclusions myself. I am 100% convinced that conservatives and liberals will never be able to agree about the purpose of government. That is why I'm sure the only solution is to split the country in two, we can call them the Liberal States of America and the Conservative States of America.

Some suggest the dividing line should go east-west across the middle of the country, but I think a better way would be a line going north-south, about 500 miles west of the Mississippi River. That would allow both new countries to have land in all the climate zones the USA now contains. Negotiations could take place to determine which new country gets which half.

After that is decided, there could be a t***sition period of about 2 years, during which both new countries would develop their own constitutions and form of government and the people would be able to decide which country they want to live in. For those in the wrong half, exchanges could be set up to trade properties and businesses.

After the t***sition period, both new countries would come into being and in order for people to move from one to the other they would be required to emigrate. Travel between the two countries would be permitted just as going to any foreign country is now available. Trade agreements would be made between the two countries as well.

Just think of all the problems that would solve. The Liberal States of America could form a dictatorship with Obama as the permanent leader where only those who want to work need to and everybody would be given wh**ever they need. The Conservative States of America could form a libertarian government that allows those who are willing to work to succeed without being punished for their success. Those in the conservative states would not have to subsidize the socialist policies of the liberal side and those in the liberal side would not have to complain that the government is hindered by the constitution.

It could happen. It would provide lots of jobs for the intrastructure it would take to accommodate all the people who would want to immigrate from the East to the West! Right? Just speculating...
