Here in California we have gotten rid of our right wing wackos and rendered them irrelevant. We could not get a budget on time, we were carrying a chronic $25 billion deficit since Republican Governor Pete Wilson negotiated electric utility de regulation in the back room in the 1990's and when it kicked in in 2000 Enron of Texas and Williams companies of Oklahoma manipulated the supply and bankrupted the states two big public utility companies casing rolling blackouts across the state and costing the state $45 billion ultimately. Eight years of Arnold Swartzennegger as governor was a waste of time and the $25 billion deficit persisted. Democratic Governor Brown was elected in 2011 as well as super majorities in both chambers of the legislature. Since ew got rid of the Republicans the $25 billion deficit is gone and we have a $10 billion rainy day fund, California has been leading the nation in jobs and economic growth that is 40 % higher than the national average. No more grid lock in California and economic prosperity 185 languages are spoken in California and we all manage to get along. America is a nations of immigrants and California epitomizes immigration, my parents first immigrated to the golden state on the dust bowel and depression wracked 1930's
Here in California we have gotten rid of our right... (show quote)

Blame it on everyone but the illiterate v**ers and the politicians in control. And how about good ole Jerry Brown. What a dunce if ever there was one. You have let the left agenda take control of your state and give money to i*****l a***ns for years. And the stupid right to become a v**er by having a drivers license. What nonsense.

Don't be so harsh on California; it is the new American penal colony. Australia won't have them.

Australia is smart. Most of California seems to be a penis colony. Too many fruitcakes for me. Now I'll catch a load of crap for being politically incorrect. Like I really care.

We don't give money to i*****l a***ns. They work for their money and pay taxes all of my Mexicans on my payroll had taxes with held and FICA taxes as well. We employ 750,000 Hispanics that pick the wine grapes, fruits, nuts and vegetables that grace your table. A 10 billion rainy day fund is better than a $25 billion deficit and the peace and quiet with no grid lock It feels sooooo gooood. California has a history of electing Republicans going back generations but they were not conservative Republicans they were progressive Republicans in the mold of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Calif. Governor and Chief Justice of the SCOTUS Earl Warren . Then the people got conned in to electing conservative Republican beginning in 1966 with Ronald Regan and California began a dance with conservative devils that we only began to emerge from in 2011. We elected Jerry Brown from 1974 to 1982 but Republicans found they could get their way through the referendum. They could hire people to put up tables and take people in to signing to put an initiative on the b****t then spend a ton of money on slick TV ads to conn the people. Well the people have wised up to their game it's not working any more. California has some conservative districts that elect Representatives but they have no power except in the UYS House of Representatives.

Not to be rude but you are full of crap. I've worked for two landscaping companies. All of our laborers (Latinos) were illegal. They were paid in cash at the end of the week. No taxes withheld or any other contributions except purchases and paying sales tax on wh**ever they bought.
The employers who hire i******s pretty much don't give a damn. Cheap labor = higher profits.

Santa Claus (St. Nickolai ) lives in a dream world. A utopia that doesn't exist except in the mind of a liberal socialist. It's been proven over and over that socialism doesn't work. Cuba is a great example. It's 90 miles from Key West and it's system is a total failure. The only good thing I can say about Obozo is that he make good inroads to our relations with Cuba.

Thank you. Why is it that the liberal socialist can't understand this?

If you have a 10 billion dollar "rainy day fund," then then why don't you use part of it to pay off your 1.6 billion dollar shortfall that your Governor Moonbeam said you would have this year?

That is an excellent question. It's like the common person who has $10.00 in their wallet/purse while incurring $1.60 in debt or a shortfall in their annual household budget. The smart person would not incur the debt or shortfall in the first place. But of course we are talking about California and Governor 'Moonbeam'!

I have said repeatedly that it must be something in the tofu; or the granola. California would be a paradise were it not filled with Californians.
