Nonsense, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
Just for you, one of your favorite subjects.

I used to haul carpet and hardwood flooring from NC to Mexifornia, and produce back. (Mostly). I made 7 trips to NY, a couple to Chicago, but mostly NC to Cal and back.

Yep, I remember Mexifornia quite well. I remember contracting a load through a broker out of City of Industry going to St. Louis with an appointment to load at 11AM. I arrived a little before 11 and backed into a shipping door, went on the dock and saw my freight shrink wrapped and staged with the PU# on each pallet. After being ignored for 15 minutes I cornered a guy on a forklift showed him my PU & release #, pointed to my load sitting on the dock and all I got from him was 'no engleeze".

So, my next stop was the shipping office and guess what? No one in there spoke english either. I called the broker, which was CH Robinson and she said she would find out and call me back. An hour later she called me back explaining the bi-lingual dock foreman and shipping manager were at lunch, and they were the only ones with the authority to release the load. Well, to make a long story short they wandered back in at 1:15 and I was finally loaded at 3:30 PM which on a Friday afternoon left me fighting LA traffic out the 710, 60 & I15 going to Vegas. It took me 8 1/2 hours to make it to North Las Vegas NV, which under normal circumstances is a 4 1/2 hour trip.

Thank you very much Mexifornia!

Yep, I remember Mexifornia quite well. I remember... (show quote)

Por suerte para mí, hablo español. However, the thing I like most about Mexifornia is seeing it in my rearview.
