Talking to people who religiously watch Fox News is better than space travel. You get to see what life is like on another planet without the risk of explosive decompression. But if you’re a Fox News devotee and insist that the rest of the world is crazy, this list is for you. Please, get help.

1. You are OUTRAGED at how Obama has shredded the Constitution but can’t name any rights you’ve lost since January 20, 2009.

2. You think record breaking cold weather in the middle of winter disproves “Global Warming.”

3. You think record breaking cold weather in the middle of winter disproves “Global Warming” but record breaking heat waves in the summer are just a fluke.

4. You hate Obama for the almost 1700 American lives lost in Afghanistan under his watch but have no idea how many died in Iraq before he took office (Hint: more than 4000).

5. You call Afghanistan “Obama’s War” but ignore the entire first eight years of it.

6. You think there’s no way Chris Christie knew about the scandal unfolding in his own office but Obama clearly knew what a small IRS office in Cincinnati was up to.

7. You think 4 Americans dying in Benghazi is “the worst tragedy since 9/11.“

8. You denounce Bill Clinton as an adulterer but give a pass to David Vitter and Mark Sanford because they apologized.

9. You are both convinced Obama is a secret Muslim and still go into a frenzy when someone mention Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

10. You really do think Obama is a secret Muslim terrorist that drinks beer, eats pork, attended church for years (ARRRGH! Rev. Jeremiah Wright!), had his daughters baptized, had bin Laden killed and has had more terrorist leaders assassinated than every president before him combined.

11. You think bin Laden was responsible for 9/11 because he ordered the attack but Obama gets no credit for bin Laden’s death because he only ordered the attack.

12. You swear that Obama is coming for your guns.

13. You’ve been swearing that Obama is coming for your guns since before he was elected.

14. You swear that Obama has actually reduced your right to own guns but you can’t explain how.

15. You have ever used the phrase: Obama’s Katrina to describe something that was not the bungled response to a major natural disaster.

16. You’re positive Obama isn’t a true Christian but then got mad he had too many Christmas trees (no, seriously, that was a thing).

17. You think Muslims are terrorists and religious fanatics but think protecting gay kids from bullies is an attack on your religious beliefs.

18. You constantly complain the liberal media takes things out of context but you’re deeply offended that Obama said “You didn’t build that.”

19. You think that ACORN stole the 2008 election. Maybe the 2012 one as well.

20. You think “voter fraud” is an actual problem but can’t explain how cutting early voting stops it.

21. In 2009, cutting the $1.4 trillion deficit in half was the most important thing in the world but in 2014, you could care less about how much the deficit was cut (Hint: in half).

22. You hate Obama for not having served a day in the military but voted for Mitt Romney.

23. You think Obama is the laziest president ever for taking so many vacation days but “forget” that it’s less than a third of his predecessor.
23a. Never mind how many days he took, the president shouldn’t take vacations during a time of  crisis!
23b. Never mind that Bush took vacations during two wars and a recession! Obama is   spending tax payer money to loaf about!
23c. I said WHO CARES that Bush took more than three times as much vacation time? It  only counts when the black guy takes a vacation!

24. You think Obama embarrassed America by bowing to other heads of state but forgot about Bush kissing a Saudi King

25. You think Obama is terrible for the economy while the stock market continues to hit all time highs.

26. You think the stock market hitting all times highs doesn’t mean the economy is improving but you still believe in Trickle Down Economics.

27. You claim you don’t believe in Trickle Down Economics but insist that increasing taxes on the rich will hurt the economy.

28. You’re outraged OUTRAGED at Obama for not unilaterally launching a full scale war on Iran but call him a warmonger for joining an international coalition to stop a massacre in Libya.

29. You think Obama is “dumb.”

30. You really think a Harvard graduate is “dumb.”

31. You really seriously think a Harvard graduate and a former president of the Harvard Law Review is “dumb.”

32. You think Obama hates white people which would include his white mother and the white grandparents that raised him to be President of the United States.

33. You think Obama is a criminal mastermind that has broken dozens of laws involving thousands of government workers but no one can actually prove anything.

34. You think Obama is an absolute idiot who has broken dozens of laws involving thousands of government workers but no one can actually prove anything.

35. You think Climate Change is a vast liberal conspiracy to destroy Capitalism.

36. You claim evolution is a liberal hoax but still take your kids of their yearly flu shot.

37. You claim science is just a religion but do not think twice about boarding an airplane.

38. You think the private sector can completely replace government investments but you’re OUTRAGED Obama ended the Space Shuttle program.

39. You think using a teleprompter means you are stupid. But only if you happen to be the president. It’s OK for everyone else.

40. You think being asked to drink an extra glass of water a day is tyranny.

41. You think being asked to do more community service is tyranny.

42. You think being asked to help the poor get health insurance is tyranny.

43. You think being asked to let women choose to use birth control is tyranny.

44. You think being asked to respect other religions is tyranny.

45. You think being asked to leave homosexuals alone is tyranny.

46. You think being publicly shamed for your racism is tyranny.

47. You think not allowing criminals and the mentally ill to buy guns is tyranny.

48. You think allowing everyone to vote is tyranny.

49. You think Obama exercising his constitutional authorities is tyranny.

50. You grew up in America and think you actually understand what real tyranny is.

A lot of your so - called democrats don't believe in the 57 million children of God aborted since 1973...now do they? Research what our current President thinks about abortion...especially late-term abortion...He is unconscionable on his views!!!! and his legislation while in the IL Senate!!!

Now, Mother Teresa is not perhaps schooled in the ways of world capitals and perhaps did not know that having said her piece and won the moment she was supposed to go back to the airier, less dramatic assertions on which we all agree.

Instead she said this:
(Abortion) is really a war against the child, and I hate the killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that the mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love... The father of that child, however, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to live, but kills even her own child to solve her problem. And by abortion, the father is taught that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into that world. So that father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion.
Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love one another but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.

Again applause, and I looked once more to the woman on my right. As the applause spread she sat back in her chair and folded her hands on her lap. Then she briskly reached for her purse and took out a notepad. She took out a slim gold pen. It gleamed in the ballroom lights. She started writing down words.

I couldn’t resist, I peered as un-obviously as I could to see what she was writing. “Shop Rite,” it said on the hospital-white pad. “Cleaners.”

She was making a To Do list. That was how she detached from the moment. She did not like what she had just heard but she couldn’t walk out, couldn’t boo, so she made a little list of things to do.

Well I certainly got a wakeup call since I married Irina in Moscow in 1987, prior to the collapse of the Soviet Union. She is very emphatic about distinguishing between Russia and the USSR, which are not interchangeable terms despite what most Americans think. The majority of American agree with you that the U.S. is on the wrong track.

About the makeup of the electorate.

TEA Party conservatives are winning today. You can tell by the hysterical over-the-top vitriolic rhetoric the liberals use whenever they are losing.

How can you prove we conservatives are winning? For over 2 decades, about twice as many Americans have claimed to be conservatives as liberals, 46% to 20% in 2012 according to Gallup, despite liberals dominating the media, universities, and Hollywood. Liberals become conservative once they move out of their parents’ home, get a job, get married, buy a house and pay taxes.

IF YOU LOOK AT A BELL CURVE

On the left, see a few hundred articulate and persuasive intellectuals of Socialism. People like John Kenneth Galbraith and Paul Krugman, (in Blue) followed by many more political activists (Orange) and the broad center low-information voters. (Green).

On the right, a few hundred articulate and persuasive intellectuals of free market Capitalism, like Milton Friedman, Friedrich Hayek, and William Buckley, followed by many more in the choir. How good we get at “PERSUADING” the vast number in the broad middle, who may be great engineers, great musicians, great gardeners, church goers, parents but they are almost totally non-political, and who determine the nation’s fate.
You may be thinking to yourselves, Fred, you are speaking to the choir. But the choir is what counts in politics. It is critical that we spend time energizing the choir and providing it the intellectual ammunition to influence others to join our cause; to teach why limited government, private property, and the free market based on voluntary exchange is the only moral economic system ever devised.

The purpose of teaching others the philosophy of freedom, is not to convert them into believing in freedom from government, but to find them. More precisely, help them find themselves in becoming passionate about individual liberty and to swell the ranks of the choir. It’s the choir, it is us, who carry freedom and civilization forward generation to generation.

Before the Republicans purge 99% of Republicans from the Party we need to keep the House and win the Senate. Without a majority no policies can be enacted. After we win -- I and the other six true blue conservatives in America can set the agenda. Until then remember, we are not trying to elect a Pope, for whom we may vote differently than when voting for a politician. Those who say they are subject to vitriol (which I've never seen in 50 years)I suggest you find new friends.

There are PLENTY of good jobs out there. The problem is that they're seeking highly skilled and educated workers, and they can't find enough. Thanks to the left dumbing down the education system, we have a lot of dumb and unskilled people looking for work.

Tony, you write: "the problem is that most jobs in America today are at or near the minimum wage." This is sheer nonsense.

In California only 1.4% of workers are paid the minimum wage (learning wage) or less and 4.7% nationally, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, The Department of Labor and the U.S. Census. You will be more believable if you include some facts when you make such outrageous claims http://www.bls.gov/cps/minwage2012tbls.htm.

Tony,
Your memory may be fading a bit. I got married in 1960 and the minimum wage was $1.00 per hour, $40.00 a week and you could not raise a family on $40.00 a week in 1960. I started to work as a teenager in 1954 at a $.25 an hour "learning wage," the first year and over the next 14 years worked my way up to General Manager of the company after many salary increases. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0774473.html Minimum wage 1955-2013

What seems lost in this dialogue is that minimum wage (learning wage) workers are not complaining. The majority of the "Raise the minimum wage" action is coming from union workers whose contracts give them a raise whenever the minimum wage is raised. In California only 1.4% of workers receive the minimum wage, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Also, the overwhelming majority of workers receive the minimum wage for less than one year (e.g., those that learn to show up the day after payday). You can look it up!

2013 (the Golden Year) one of the greatest years in history. Happy New Year 2014.

Thank God for Capitalism and Freedom. World Poverty is at an all-time low. “Global inequality is narrowing.” Battle deaths from Wars are at an all-time low. Deaths from Extreme weather are at an all-time low. Deaths from AIDs in Africa from the peak at an all-time low . Democide by governments killing their own people (typically 10 times the number killed in wars) at an all-time low. Global Warming hasn’t occurred for 15 years and the irony of Global Warming scientists today frozen in the Antarctic Ice that Al Gore claimed would be melted by now. Among the 177 countries ranked in the January 2013 Index of Economic Freedom improved for 91 countries.

People are learning about the enormous benefits of true capitalism, and of the anti-capitalists, the imposters that falsely claim the name of capitalism. People are learning of the false and fabricated stories about so-called Robber Barons. America still has the richest poor people in the world proving that as the rich get richer --- the poor get richer. God Bless America.

Art, I'm impressed. First, it is my family photo for my Children 4 years ago for Christmas. Second, I'm suspicious of people who don't use their own photos or their real names. Most newspapers won't publish letters signed by aliases.

emarine's quote in question emphasizes my earlier posting, "It's not what you say but what they hear!" I heard "blaming the poor" in a different context with food stamps, welfare, and national debt, etc.

Herman Cain called to action does tend to verify emarine's statement in context. "Don't blame Wall Street, don't blame the big banks, if you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself!" Cain said. "It is not a person's fault because they succeeded, it is a person's fault if they failed. And so this is why I don't understand these demonstrations and what is it that they're looking for."
“Herman Cain to "Occupy Wall Street" protesters:

I blame primarily Democrats for those problems and secondly Republicans (politicians). Not to overlook high school drop-outs that have babies out of wedlock who share in the responsibility for their own plight. Romancing The Voters.com has a free chapter on how liberals and conservatives think differently. Thank you for the Herman Cain reference.

People, in a free market economy have unlimited wants. Therefore, the demand for jobs is unlimited (even if many are taken by robots). The difficulty is that politicians for self-serving reasons make many jobs illegal or pass laws to make them uneconomical. I would agree that there is a shortage of $250,000 a year and higher paying jobs.
