I am not a hunter and I do not own a gun but I couldn't agree more...
I had never thought about this...A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin
Allow me to restate that number: 600,000!
Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world
more men under arms than in Iran. More than France and Germany combined.
These men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin, to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed. That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan's 700,000 hunters, all of whom returned home safely. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states. It's millions more.
The point?
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower. Hunting...it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security. That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.
Food for thought when next we consider gun control. Overall it's true, so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don't possess the same skills as soldiers, the question would still remain...What army of 2 million would want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed citizens?
For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns.
Im fairly new to this forum but please bear with me as I feel obliged to get this out to as many people as possible. Ive spent several months in research trying to make sense of events of the last few years and what is to come. To make a long story short, this research has led me to believe that something VERY BIG the biggest event in your lifetime -- may happen within the next few weeks. Please note that I say MAY. I have never in my life called anyone a nasty name. I have for years tried to get my point across being polite, and have had in 30+ years had a couple of decent conversations with the political left, but it is uncommon, certainly not normal for the political left and a good portion of the political right to be polite when talking politics. Primarily, I think because we are each other enemy.
Let me explain why the political right and the political left are enemies. Actually it has nothing much to do with anything except a difference in values and how to maintain those values. For me, freedom is the most valued thing I possess. Government is forbidden to infringe on my freedom, yet every year my freedom gets smaller and smaller and smaller because of government infringement on it. All laws are infringements on freedoms. Some laws are necessary, but can one conceivably believe that 3 tons of laws are necessary? That's approximately how much federal "laws" exist today. I am opposed to ANYONE who mentions writing another law, and while some are necessary, those that restrict, restrict, restrict make me shudder and make me mad because the goal is CONTROL of everyone, and that borders on OPPRESSION. No living soul should be happy with oppression.

During my lifetime, all Presidents have issued Executive Orders. For various
reasons, some have issued more than others.

FROM THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE.
Even some Democrats in the House have turned on him, plus a very small
number of Democrat Senators have questioned him. Rightfully so -

Remember what he told Russia 's Putin: "I'll be more flexible after I'm
re-elected".
What did Congress do in those 40 months?
(The House - considerable. The Senate ? almost nothing, not even a budget
nor allow any House Bill to be considered.)
Now look at these:
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990allows the government to take over all modes of
transportation and control of highways and seaports.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 allows the government to seize and control the
communication media.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical
power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 allows the government to take over all food resources
and farms.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work
brigades under government supervision.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all health,
education and welfare functions.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the registration of all persons. Postmaster
General to operate a national registration.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and
aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate
communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be
abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland
waterways and public storage facilities.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal
departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued
over a fifteen year period.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of
Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into
effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or
financial crisis.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to
enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial
support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all
aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and
assist the President.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to
develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and
distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of
money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It
also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President,
Congress cannot review the action for six months.
Feel free to verify the "executive orders" at will.....and these are just
the major ones. Watch Obama's actions, not his words! By his actions he will
show you where America is headed.
Obama has issued a new executive order that seeks to "harmonize" U.S.
economic regulations with the rest of the world. This new executive order is
yet another incremental step that is pushing us closer to a North American
Union and a one world economic system.
Unfortunately, most Americans have absolutely no idea what is happening.
The American people need to understand that Barack Obama is constantly
looking for ways to integrate the United States more deeply with the rest of
the world.
The globalization of the world economy has accelerated under Obama, and this
latest executive order represents a fundamental change in U.S. economic

Regardless of this post, I remain a staunch conservative and still believe that Mr Obama is fundamentally changing this country. In 2008, candidate Obama uttered,
we are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America. It looks like hes living up to those words.

contemplating OUR countrys financial situation, the fiscal cliff, etc. and have come to the following simplistic (we need simple) conclusion to solve our budget crisis RIGHT NOW. It involves EVERYONE and if people dont like it I really dont care, it's solving our country's financial issues, not arguing which side has the power, won or lost, etc...Im looking at it from the perspective if it were my own finances. Here goes:
1) Cut all federal employees wages by 25 percent (They would still be 10 percent above the private sector) over $440 billion savings over ten years
2) Do whatever it takes to raise tax REVENUES from personal income taxes that includes EVERYONE by 5 percent
3) Reinstate the 6.2 percent SS tax rate from 4.2 percent while no longer having an income cap on it
4) Cut federal spending ACROSS THE BOARD by 22.5 percent I recall several instances in my business life where Ive been tasked with cutting expenses by a certain percentage

Moving forward, we will have stopped the bleeding, have a balanced budget, and we can now attack OUR over $16 trillion debt. Like I said, its simple but us idiots need simple.
I can already hear one thing
what about them greedy corporations. Again simplistically, Im looking at it from the perspective that ALL business is the driver that HIRES and EMPLOYS this nation and the workers in those businesses ultimately drive our economy, NOT government. So we need business plugging along keeping people employed so the people have money they EARNED to keep this economy moving. Wow, that American Dream...what a concept.

$30 ÷ 3 = $10 charged to each salesmen
The actual bill was $25
$25 ÷ 3 = $8.33 should be charged to each salesmen
$10 each originally charged $1 payback to each from bellboy = $9 charged to each salesman
($9 x 3 salesmen) + $2 bellboy = $30
The salesmen paid $0.67 too much each
$0.67 x 3 = $2 which the bellboy pocketed
And DONT get into semantics about the other $0.01. Its round off which is another story all together.
