Personally, I am not afraid of death. Ever had an out of body experience? I did: I saw myself laying down, eyes closed. Something about me could see, for which I saw a solid, very dense blackness all in front of me. I caught sight of a tiny sparkle that grew bigger and bigger until it was a large ball of fire. The large ball of fire began to turn anticlockwise, and as it turned- it threw a very many small sparkles into the blackness until it was filled with them. Then, the middle of the Ball of Fire began to open until it was just a round rim of fire, yet, I couldn't go in. Instead, I sensed a "burst" all around, and a thin, petite, bright ring shot out of the rim straight at me. It came fast as first, then slowed down until it landed right between my eyes with the fine tickle sensation of touching your eyelashes. Then, a few days later I awoke.
What I saw was the beginning of Time per God, as for our universe. I was given my life back as a gift, a blessing.
There is spiritual life after death. The energy that surges through our bodies that keeps us alive, is our spirit. It is a different type of energy that Science cannot copy, and will never. It is of God. Like all energy, when the spirit leaves our body, it simply "converts". It converts back to Godly energy that dwells in Spiritual Heaven, or it converts to the sources of energy that keep our world alive as in magnetism and such. In that case, your "spiritual image" dies forever being converted to something else. As we know Energy never dies.
So what we need to do now, it focus on our lives here and try daily to do better, be better, and try our best to do the right things. The Lord Jesus Christ is a sure shot arrow towards heaven, but that is a free choice.

Something you need to know about Nevada. Clark County (Las Vegas) is Reid's bailiwick and the population of this one county is 2 and 1/2 times the population of all the other counties combined. Vegas is union country and many of those there working in real estate and the gaming industry are California libs.

In the 2010 midterm, Reid carried 2 of the 17 counties in the state. It is Clark county that elected him and is keeping him there, but trust me, us Nevada cowboys would like that snake oil salesman buried in the desert.

I agree that the law probably does not say that the president could declare parts of it "invalid", but from what we have heard lately, it does contain provisions that would allow policies that were in force before the law was passed to remain in force. That type of grandfathering is very common when new laws are passed. I think Obama thought those provisions were all that were needed to allow people to keep their plans. They obviously weren't.

I also don't think Obama consciously lied when he said that people could keep their plans and their doctors if they liked them. I think he was misinformed, though, and that he believed what he was saying at the time was true. I'll fault him alongside everyone else for that. But it's complicated.

I recall an episode of Seinfeld in which Jerry (or maybe Kramer) was going to have to take a lie detector test. George Costanza said something like, "It's not a lie...if you believe it's true." I think that describes Obama's comments about people being able to keep their policies. He believed it (mostly because, I think, he was thinking of large, high quality group plans). But I do think he was not nearly as certain of it as he sounded with his words. Shame on him!

I can't help but wonder why, during the 3-1/2 yrs since the law was passed, nobody from the Republican party or the insurance industry pointed out that substandard plans would have to be upgraded to comply with the provisions of the ACA. It was ripe for the picking! A program that vast is complicated even for those more knowledgeable than we are.

Still ... I am all for the end goal of getting 100% of Americans covered with health insurance so they can get the care they need. I bet we all know people who haven't been able to get health insurance because of a pre-existing condition.

If Republicans were smart, they would swoop in and save the day by modifying Obamacare rather than just repealing it. They don't really have a viable alternative anyway (and I've seen their recent initiatives - nothing there). I think they would greatly improve their chances in the 2014 mid-terms and for the WH in 2016 if they did that. Show the American people that they are willing to work on their behalf to make it right.

Because of the fact that you can't believe what comes out of a politicians mouth , what you elect isn't what you get !
I also agree that Supreme Court judges should not have a lifetime seat .
Yes the only way the people have to resolve a bad apple politician is through elections , since the government is afraid of or doesn't know what impeachment is !
I don't know of any job application that you fill out and lie on , that can't and will get you fired ! Except a political application !

Everyone, consciously and/or unconsciously is prejudice about people who are different from themselves. After opening the mind and seeing commonalities, some or most prejudice can be eliminated. But, a lot of people are afraid to open their minds. In fact some are so insecure, they fuel their prejudices.
This insecurity and fear that fuels prejudice in the weak minded is nurtured by the politicians who point out our differences and claim a type of people should get special treatment, because there are those who resent people different from them deserve special treatment and...
On top of this, there are some people who use differences between people's appearances for political gain. Just because some one does not like Obama's political agenda does not mean they are racist, but a lot of Obama supporters use that card to put down some one's political views which are different than Obama.
Some one's skin color does not matter, if their political agenda does not agree with the direction I see best for the country, I do not like that individual's politics. Obama, and his family seem intelligent and interesting, but I do not agree with his political agenda. In fact, I do not think what he is doing is good for the country. Just like Bush, Clinton, the older Bush, and Reagan, he is a member of the establishment and are leading the country in a bad way.
