Have you forgotten Jonathan Pollard? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Pollard
Read former U.S. congressman Paul Findley's book about AIPAC's influence on U.S. election systems:
https://www.amazon.com/They-Dare-Speak-Out-Institutions/dp/155652482X

Jonathan Pollard clearly had issues beyond dim-wittedness. Even his navy boss said he should have fired him long before any of this came to light but he didn't. They even pulled his security clearance at one point. By the way, Pollard was an American citizen, not a 'foreign agent'.

As for AIPAC, as far as I know they don't break any laws. If they exert excessive influence on American politics, the laws should be amended to reduce that influence. As of now, they're just doing what they're allowed to do, which is to pay corrupt politicians for actions that work in their favor. Don't expect those same politicians to kill the goose that keeps laying all these golden eggs anytime soon.

I know you know this but I'll do it anyway.

Do you know how the Nielsen ratings are used to determine the size of a given audience and the resultant fees for advertising? You see how a TV ad during a regular season game is far less expensive than one aired during the Super Bowl? That's because a regular season game has nothing near the size of viewership that the Super Bowl commands. The bigger the audience, the more the network charges for ads aired during the event, right? So far so good...

Do you understand how that revenue is used to generate yet more revenue? Networks charge for ads aired during a game and pay the NFL for the rights to air that game. The bigger the audience, the bigger the fee the NFL can charge because the bigger the ad revenue generated. This cash flow (or lack thereof) is all predicated on the size of the TV audience. If people stop watching, ad revenues go down and the NFL's 'cut' is reduced to reflect that. You might think that's 'small potatoes', well:

Total NFL Ad Revenue (including playoffs) For 2016:
Fox: $1.44 billion (+48% over 2015)
NBC: $909 million (+17%-added more Thursday night games)
CBS: $867 million (-35%-hosted Super Bowl for 2015 season)
ESPN: $263 million (-4%)
ABC: $22 million (-11%)

Total: $3.78 billion. Not exactly 'small potatoes' is it? What if those viewers suddenly decided to do what I'm doing? Believe me when I say this: I am not alone.

Maybe they should be forced to register if their owners are foreign. After all, that is foreign control of an American interest, is it not?

Justice is not a "lady."

Ahem. Pardon me, I hate to burst your bubble, but, uh, Justice totally is a lady:

"Iustitia, Justitia or Lady Justice is an allegorical personification of the moral force in judicial systems." And: "Her attributes are a blindfold, a balance, and a sword. She often appears as a pair with Prudentia, who holds a mirror and a snake".

You can read up on justice and prudence here:

The average NFL player has a career of 3.3 years and makes 1.9 million a year. They get paid even if the stadium is empty. The cost of any boycott is to the billionaire owners, who are mostly republicans. The entire thing is a win win situation.

That's very short-sighted. As of right now, yes, the owners are footing the bill for the misbehavior of their players because revenues are going down and players' salaries are not. Owners' profits are directly affected by the number of tickets sold. Less tickets, less profit. Poor billionaire owner. I get that. Yeah, stick it to 'the man'. But hold it, there's more...

What happens when the players, who by the way, are not suffering this economic calamity because they have contracts, what happens when their contracts expire? Well, of course they'll renegotiate and carry on as usual, right? Fat chance. Now the owners are counting up their losses directly caused by their players' stupidity. The owner is going to take it out of their hides in the form of reduced contracts. Guarantee it. Some of them will find it impossible to find an owner willing to sign with them at any price (Colin Kaepernick, anyone?), others will chafe under the grinding poverty of less than a million dollars a game; significantly less, if they sign at all. Oh, and those contracts, they'll have some new 'clauses' in them about sitting, standing or kneeling at any given time.

I can just imagine the conversation after Kaepernick pulled his attention-getter that first time: 'OK you had you little protest, now let's all get back to the job in hand'. But he did it again, and he kept doing it, then other players saw him and thought this was a really fun idea and before you know it, we're looking at the complete breakdown of the NFL all because some little jumped-up spoiled brat decided to throw away a good opportunity and cause mayhem for everyone else. And now he complains because nobody wants to hire him. Gee, imagine that. I bet he's just the first of many. Names have been taken, you can be assured of that, and asses will (eventually) be kicked.

In reality, the NFL is no better than the players. I grant you they had no control over the object of his 'protest', such as it is (was?), but they should have bitch-slapped that idiot the first time he pulled that crap. Game over, get back to work or lose your contract. Instead they assumed the position of a deer caught in the headlights and here they are, their whole operation falling apart because of one dummkopf (Pun absolutely intended).

I enjoyed my afternoon's football. Drinking a beer and watching the game was my Sunday afternoon for many years. I was a regular at the stadium until they started jacking up the ticket prices in the mid 90s, then it was the local bar and their television that provided (almost) the same level of entertainment. I knew it was mostly faked / fixed / whatever, I didn't care, it was fun and I never had a dog in the fight anyway. In my mind it was just a shame they had to get so greedy. Then this. Well, Mr. NFL, we're parting ways. I'm done with your bullying of outstanding quarterbacks (looking at you, Tom Brady), your sky-high pricing and your ill-conceived 'tolerance' for players who should stick to football and leave the politics off the field. I'm going over to the more honest and infinitely more relaxing college football. This means switching my weekend routine around but that's fine, I'm a big boy now.

I vote. From time to time the people I vote for let me down. They even go to jail sometimes. Other voters experience that too. Should all voters pay liability insurance in case the person they put into office does something wrong or lies to them about what they will do once they get into office ? Sometimes a skier will cause an avalanche and kill or injure other skiers. Should all skiers carry avalanche liability insurance ?

How many of those traffic tickets you get from a camera have you paid.

I got one of those years ago, when this was all just starting out. They sent a ticket, signed by a cop and everything, and a photo of my license plate. Said I ran the light and now I owed them over $100. I sent them a photocopy of a $100 bill. Never heard from them again.

By the way, that cop broke the law by signing that ticket, he did not witness the 'violation'.

I know another guy who went to court and pled not guilty. He then proceeded to try and subpoena the traffic camera to testify in his case. I know it's ridiculous, but that's how he got the case dismissed for 'lack of evidence'.

People in general are just so.... Dumb!

First rule of marksmanship: Never point your rifle at anyone you do not intend to shoot.

Second rule of marksmanship: Always be sure of your target before firing.

These rules are not difficult to remember or follow. These 'hunters' deserve whatever they have coming to them.

And just what was it that our veterans fought for if not for the right to peacefully protest when one sees injustice?

How about the right not to be personally insulted by a spoiled brat on a football field? Is that too much to ask? With 'rights' come 'responsibilities'. What burns me is how the team managers and the NFL first tried to ignore it, then tried to placate it and now don't know what to do about it. They're literally like some guy who stands there with his mouth open and a 'thousand yard stare' on his face.

It's pathetic and I'm done with the NFL and professional football in general. They should have come down hard on that pussy Colin Kaepernick and the rest of his band wagon before it got out of hand. They didn't and now it is. Good. Now they can play to empty stadiums and lets see how long they can keep up with these gazillion dollar contracts with no money coming in. They're a bunch of damned fools who brought it on themselves.

'Meandering villains', eh? Well, if you should come up against such a rogue, simply shoot the SOB and move on with your peaceful life. Nobody says there wouldn't be the odd 'bad apple' but that's easily rectified with a little gunpowder. It should settle down in no time.

I'm afraid we need a WALL and minimum wages until we resolve our immigration crisis.

How do we get Congress to pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution that reflects both the Laffer Curve and the Armey Curve to make way for an efficient constitutionally limited government? I say we auction off the bureaucracies in the federal and state governments.

The 600 bureaucracies of "experts" under the Executive Branch, (virtually an unconstitutional unelected 4th branch of government), must go. The courts defer to them, the congress abdicates its authority to them; this is ridiculous. This is a socialist, centralized planned economy. Where has our representative republic gone?

Socialism is a voluntary symbiotic relationship between the arrogant and the apathetic.
