However, the thought came to me that there are so many who are disconnected. Some by their own choosing, some dreadfully so through no fault of their own. Some have run away while others may have been deserted . Other’s ignored as they pass through life because they are different.

Being different is ok unless the difference one espouses comes from rebellion of honest and true principles. However let it be said that the majority is always right.

We, (America) are going through massive changes in society, not only are the changes numerous, they are quickly almost over whelming for certain segments in our nation.

For the most part folks either fear or hate change because it disrupts comfort and a sense of security. The only thing certain in all of our lives is change but we seem to want to have a sense of control as it affects each of our lives.

There are many things about change we may be able to control. However there are also many things about change which are beyond our control.

Not wanting to make this a sermon or a political speech, I suppose I must get to the point.

The issues in which we find ourselves involved in are national issues, not just local changes, (they exist), but on a national scale.

There is a sense that we as civilized people are being led or herded by some seen and maybe unseen forces. There is much confusion and even hateful debate among fellow Americans that is helping both the seen and the unseen forces, allowing them to accomplish what their intended agenda might be.

Whatever the outcome, hopefully the outcome will be for the betterment of not only America but for mankind worldwide. America has been the “Big Brother,” not in the Orwellian sense but in the compassionate sense. Yes we have done our share of destruction around the world at times.
But not until recent years has America been the aggressor. We once were the nation that sent more aid, help, missionaries, medical aid, aid to even rebuild what we destroyed with bombs and bullets.

Yes we have had our own disputes internally; different ideologies, different methods of accomplishing lasting goals. But we usually worked them out through negotiation, compromise, yes and even prayer.

We have reached a place where fun debate, useless debate, rude debate must come to a conclusion because whether we be united or divided, what looms on the horizon will affect those equally on both side of the isle.

There is coming a time when the freedom of debate itself will be tested, and I fear all of America will long for the days when there was free access to debate even if it was foolish.

What is coming will take away both sides of the isle and replace them with one. The one will not be the one that we the people have freely chosen.

We are all in this together, I pray that at some point God will be the rallying cry. Because we will either stand together or fall together if we do not find a central focus point of truth.

No Man Is An Island
John Donne 1572-1631
No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend’s were.
Each man’s death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know

It tolls for thee.

A smaller government would only make it cheaper to buy & control.

The way you stated it made it seem that with less government there would be less control over it.

When if fact there would be greater over all control for less money.

Hitler came from another country much like the man you follow. He convinced the people they were being done wrong by the current leadership and being held back economically. Sounds a lot like your crap already , but there's more. He claimed they needed a huge military and they built it. Okay we already had that. It took him a while to get there with his ideas . He held small meetings to drum up support claiming he was the true patriot and if they would just follow him the country would be great again. Like tea party "grassroots" town hall meetings. Which is funny because there's nothing grassroots about the tea party except maybe the brain capacity of an actual grass root and a tea party member. He was imprisoned for trying to start this at one point because of his attempts to undermine the government. Attempts to undermine the government, like you guys do. He appeared to be racist even though he denied that was the reason for his denouncement of others. Kind of like the new tea party hero, Cliven Bundy. I'll give you this , none of you guys are as smart as Hitler was so you're probably not going to pull it off. If in fact Obama is what you say he is , he is capable of feats of deception and feats of influence and magic that are only to be outmatched by God himself. Think about it, this devil we have for a president has gained millions of followers without denouncing other races or promising to expand US territory. Unbelievably he has proposed to help others by implementing a healthcare system that helps the large majority of the population. I know his will really piss Jesus off, helping all those losers with a large portion not being white. Satan is probably behind this because he knows if these type of people live longer they can continue to expound upon these evil socialist ideas. Thanks Floyd.

The problem is, I don't have a solution. All of the energy sources we rely on are detrimental to the environment in some way. Wind and solar have not come along fast enough to fix the problem. Yet putting so many laws on things are doing very little for the environment, yet is smacking our wallets.

I say natural gas for now. It's better than oil. But we need solutions.

I say we just do what we can in as many ways as we can to ease the wastefulness. Use less of almost every thing.

There is so much that we can do that would not make big changes in our life styles & still save a lot.

Eat less food & waste less food.. Toss out clothes less often. Drive a few miles less. Turn the heat down a little.Turn on the lights less often & for shorter times.

Not a lot from any one of us but if we all do it it can really add up.

So you say what you feel best & I or we will agree or disagree. But I deem it best for the clearest mind should go first.

But serious question to the left on climate change:

We hear often that climate change is going to destroy the world, and that Big Oil and large corporations are to blame. This very well may be accurate. However, my question is this: What about our dependence on electricity?

Fully 25% of our electricity comes from coal, another 50% comes from nuclear power plants. While we have worked on both wind and solar technology, neither is far enough along to solve our electricity problem.

What solutions does the left have for this problem in the immediate future? Do you plan to give up your cell phone, computer, and refrigerator?

While the left can attack the right for "no solutions" on health care, the right can attack the left for "no solutions" on climate change.

I want solutions from both sides, not problems. Please comment.

A curious thing happened to me. After years of being glued to the TV watching some of Fox and some of MSNBC, it came to an abrupt about three months ago. I did not wean myself off or even think about it; I just stopped altogether and found myself totally disinterested, even to the point of not asking myself why. This happened to me with boxing. An avid fan from the age of about ten, one day I was watching a match and totally lost interest. I thought to myself, "Why do I want to watch two men beating each other up? What's the point?" And that was it.

Maybe it was the grace of God working on me. And maybe that led me as well to a great recipe for pot roast: Put the meat in heavy duty aluminum foil; take dried onion mix and condensed mushroom soup and mix together with on-third a cup of water; pour the mix over the two pounds of meat; cook at 300 for four hours. No, I do not think the country is going in the right direction. However, it is not because there are too few rules and not enough redistribution of wealth that the country is in trouble, it is because of too many rules Personally, I believe that I have a moral obligation to help people, but the government should not demand my money so that they can "help" people as they see fit. It is obvious how that is turning out. Ghettos are worse than they used to be, schools are only for indoctrinating not teaching, and the structure of the family has been declared "hate speech" I still believe that with God all things are possible, if there is no God then all things are permissible, and there is where the danger lies. Incidentally, the type of therapy that a number of us do includes telling teenagers who have been molested that the normal responses of the male body to certain kinds of molestation by seduction do not mean that the young teenager is homosexual, and that there are ways to help him which include restoring the whole being and his true masculinity, which usually leads to heterosexual responses as well as healing the hole in the soul. In some parts of the country the activists threaten those who take the stand that I, and many other therapists take, so we remain in hiding rather than have pickets outside our homes and businesses and threats to our physical health. Since what I do is "hate speech" because it doesn't celebrate homosexuality, I, and others like me, must remain in hiding. So much for free speech in this country.

But there are many rules made by those that you seem to back that are the cause of things that you find not to your liking.

Just the thought that an average person may be helped by something the government might do send people like you up the wall.

The whole main basis of our government is to create & increase the flow of money to reward money.

Yes each & every day more & more of what government dose is to help the few get more & keep more.

Yet who cries the loudest. Those that just want more to go with the more they already have.

In 2011 Barack Obama led an allied military intervention in Libya without consulting the US Congress. Last August, after the sarin attack on the Damascus suburb of Ghouta, he was ready to launch an allied air strike, this time to punish the Syrian government for allegedly crossing the ‘red line’ he had set in 2012 on the use of chemical weapons.＊ Then with less than two days to go before the planned strike, he announced that he would seek congressional approval for the intervention. The strike was postponed as Congress prepared for hearings, and subsequently cancelled when Obama accepted Assad’s offer to relinquish his chemical arsenal in a deal brokered by Russia. Why did Obama delay and then relent on Syria when he was not shy about rushing into Libya? The answer lies in a clash between those in the administration who were committed to enforcing the red line, and military leaders who thought that going to war was both unjustified and potentially disastrous.

Obama’s change of mind had its origins at Porton Down, the defence laboratory in Wiltshire. British intelligence had obtained a sample of the sarin used in the 21 August attack and analysis demonstrated that the gas used didn’t match the batches known to exist in the Syrian army’s chemical weapons arsenal. The message that the case against Syria wouldn’t hold up was quickly relayed to the US joint chiefs of staff. The British report heightened doubts inside the Pentagon; the joint chiefs were already preparing to warn Obama that his plans for a far-reaching bomb and missile attack on Syria’s infrastructure could lead to a wider war in the Middle East. As a consequence the American officers delivered a last-minute caution to the president, which, in their view, eventually led to his cancelling the attack.

For months there had been acute concern among senior military leaders and the intelligence community about the role in the war of Syria’s neighbours, especially Turkey. Prime Minister Recep Erdoğan was known to be supporting the al-Nusra Front, a jihadist faction among the rebel opposition, as well as other Islamist rebel groups. ‘We knew there were some in the Turkish government,’ a former senior US intelligence official, who has access to current intelligence, told me, ‘who believed they could get Assad’s nuts in a vice by dabbling with a sarin attack inside Syria – and forcing Obama to make good on his red line threat.’

The joint chiefs also knew that the Obama administration’s public claims that only the Syrian army had access to sarin were wrong. The American and British intelligence communities had been aware since the spring of 2013 that some rebel units in Syria were developing chemical weapons. On 20 June analysts for the US Defense Intelligence Agency issued a highly classified five-page ‘talking points’ briefing for the DIA’s deputy director, David Shedd, which stated that al-Nusra maintained a sarin production cell: its programme, the paper said, was ‘the most advanced sarin plot since al-Qaida’s pre-9/11 effort’. (According to a Defense Department consultant, US intelligence has long known that al-Qaida experimented with chemical weapons, and has a video of one of its gas experiments with dogs.) The DIA paper went on: ‘Previous IC [intelligence community] focus had been almost entirely on Syrian CW [chemical weapons] stockpiles; now we see ANF attempting to make its own CW … Al-Nusrah Front’s relative freedom of operation within Syria leads us to assess the group’s CW aspirations will be difficult to disrupt in the future.’ The paper drew on classified intelligence from numerous agencies: ‘Turkey and Saudi-based chemical facilitators,’ it said, ‘were attempting to obtain sarin precursors in bulk, tens of kilograms, likely for the anticipated large scale production effort in Syria.’ (Asked about the DIA paper, a spokesperson for the director of national intelligence said: ‘No such paper was ever requested or produced by intelligence community analysts.’)

Last May, more than ten members of the al-Nusra Front were arrested in southern Turkey with what local police told the press were two kilograms of sarin. In a 130-page indictment the group was accused of attempting to purchase fuses, piping for the construction of mortars, and chemical precursors for sarin. Five of those arrested were freed after a brief detention. The others, including the ringleader, Haytham Qassab, for whom the prosecutor requested a prison sentence of 25 years, were released pending trial. In the meantime the Turkish press has been rife with speculation that the Erdoğan administration has been covering up the extent of its involvement with the rebels. In a news conference last summer, Aydin Sezgin, Turkey’s ambassador to Moscow, dismissed the arrests and claimed to reporters that the recovered ‘sarin’ was merely ‘anti-freeze’.
