whatever doesn't line up with the bible--like only the blood of Jesus PURGES sin -- THAT is the true purgatory, but it is not a place and only He who came down from heaven went up to heaven (not Mary!). There is one MEDIATOR between God and mankind, Jesus (not Mary). Only God can give
absolution of sin, not a human (priest). If we don't serve God in this life, He will not recognize us in the next life -- there's no halfway trip to heaven
(we don't serve time in so-called "purgatory".) You don't have to be "canonized" to become a saint. True Christians are sanctified and called saints !
