migeli-this has happened because we have a weak president who was unable to negotiate a Status of Forces agreement with the Iraqi government. Had we left 10 to 15k troops there as suggested by Gen. Jack Keane, we could have trained the Iraqi troops so that they could protect themselves. We left them guns,ammo,and equipment but they are not proficient enough as yet to make full use of them. So when the extremist insurgents attacked many threw down their weapons and ran as untrained men would do. So the insurgents are now using those same weapons to fight the remaining Iraqi forces. Obama was too anxious to get out quickly and he disregarded all of the advice given to him by men who have been fighting wars for years. This should never have happened and now the US is being asked to step in clean the mess up. This is the same weak leader who has announced to the world that we will be leaving Afghanistan at the end of 2016. So all the Taliban has to do is wait until we leave and be ready to take over in 2017. Stupidity abounds at the White House and this is the result of uninformed voters electing a boy to do a man's job. Good Luck America !!!
