Any one with half a brain knows in his heart that there no 'physical' Santa. Having said that, out side of children on the night before Christmas There is a Santa and he's in our mind and hearts. This means that he can be and look like any way you want him to be White, black, or two tone. He could be a hungry looking Salvation Army bell ringer to a drunk bell ringing Santa in the red light district, along with the two ladies who also believe. And that my friends is 'reality'

This is a small lesson in Jewish history,however my first thought on this subject is that Israel is our only true friend in a most primitive land. Think about that....

Its not Global warming,but rather 'climate change' Any fool can see that the summers get hotter and the winters get colder. This is in part the result of the use of fossil fuels and the possibility of natural climatic shifts. This is a realistic view totality void self serving political hype. If only we could take a more realistic view of this other issues we face. It is good to read something that is of a positive nature. With all the problems we currently face we could use something of a upbeat nature. Myself being a retired car dealer I consider myself an expert on 'turkeys' I being of humor, and being good at the drawing board I inject my thoughts. Let us also remember the 'turkey' in the white house ....

ACA (Obamacare) If you studied it a bit. You will learn that it is in reality income and wealth redistrubution. Mr Obamas main purpose is to radically change this once great country into a socialist serf-dom. The republicans big mistake was to try and defund this fraud with the intent of bringing it down. I can promise that given time, and as it stands now a very short time will collapse on its own. Mr. Obama would have made a better used car salesman. You can guess the rest. I am not the smartest guy on the block, so I express my self with my cartoons Enjoy !

There are two kinds of persons on food stamps "SNAP" You should study the facts before popping off. I like so many others think that 'food stamps' and other goverment programs in the social order do have a place. The main objection to SNAP from most folks like myself is the fraud on the system as my cartoon shows. These are the kind of persons that we object to. You are either one of them or belong to Team Obama. You need to wake up and smell the manure.

I am a member of BFS (before food stamps) when if you were of low income (very) you went down to the court house or a simiular govt. enity of which you were given a 12X4 inch square log of 'American cheese' and a box of powdered milk.That was it. No prime steaks, lobsters. etc. Goodies that you and I must avoid unless from to time on sale. However because it's you and I that pay for her purchases she can afford to pay any price. Not too long ago at Fry's my wife was behind a big ' heavy duty' Mama with her cart filled over the brim with all kinds of goodies.It took some time for the clerk to add all this up. Toward the end the clerk told this person that she was over her limit. this person right away got on her cell phone and within minutes got it all approved. Who she called we will never know. But what we do know is the one of the reasons the current 'president' got reelected. I include my version of the current "SNAP" program,' safety net' and all.

I made a comment on this about a week ago and given this much thought. It's not the term limits so much. It's the type of people we put in office. What we need is non professional every day folks whose main goal is to help their fellow citizens unlike the ones we currently have. The big problem with that the current crop ( and a poor one at that) is these self serving souls ( do they have one? ) get elected to serve their special interest donors. These two in bed together is the whole problem. We as concerned citizens need to find a way to get gran-ma elected, as persons like her have a vast background of living in the real world, and maybe best of all money is the least of their goals. Think about that folks !

Your right 'Big Eagle', However we have not seen any real action since the Regan years. This clown ( a compliment) Now in the White house is like a race horse with short legs and a long neck. That description sounds like a duck. But this is no duck, but rather a turkey. I know a lot about 'turkeys' as I have sold some in my time. This discussion on 'the end' is most serious. We must keep the pace, as we are on the brink of reality.

For the most part I agree with the thoughts of fellow members on this subject. It has been in recent times the hot subject "We may be seeing the end of America" I am retired @ 3/4 of a century, and have developed a talent ? for cartooning. I find that I can say more in one 5X4 hand drawn ( no photoshop) cartoon than a detailed commentary, as they say " a picture is a thousand words" So now when a topic comes up that gets my attention, I go to work of which I enjoy so much as apposed to the exchange of words, as I like things 'short sweet and snappy' Your thoughts?

I don't think that religion or the lack of has much to do about ones IQ The primary difference between the two is that the believers are driven by 'faith', for with out that the whole 'God' concept dies. Atheists tend to be 'realist' Their faith is only in what can be proven. However good & bad religion has been around since humans first started to organize, and has been the bonding factor in both moral and family life. I myself am a 'realist', but am realistic enough to realize that without good religion we would live in a "any thing goes" society. More and more we are into that world as religious values declines. My personal balance is to try and live by Christian principals which is the best on earth ,without the 'God concept' By believing as I do I can respect persons of all faiths. Yet I still have some doubts, especially with current day 'Islam" witch defies the purpose of 'good' religion.
