ALL congressional hearings and investigations are a waste of time and money since they really have no bite since they cannot convene a grand jury investigation only the attorney general. The benefit is that their face and name are on TV and they can glean sound bites for the next election. The only investigative body that has much impact is Judicial Watch since they can go to a federal judge a get subpoenas for information under FOIA. Even the most corrupt judge would not dare to deny a FOIA request. The intelligence corps and the Department of State can cover up anything they want by calling the information classified. However POTUS can grant special access. This is why they are so fearful of Trump. He don't play games.

I believe that there were 6 or 7. Back in the early days during pre-flight training we were give one a day to memorize and the TO would ask anyone in our flight to cite one of these. If they could not recite perfectly we all gave 25 push ups until someone was correct and could perfectly cite it. I remember there were posters for each and hung on the wall in the day room, rec room and in flight ops. For me that was over 55 years ago. Are they still taught now?. I would like to have a copy or a few of the poster for our vets organization. I am the only remaining member of those in my flight that finished training and most were gone by 1972 but I remember very well the agony of doing push ups on the asphalt ramp in the hot Florida sun.

It seemed rather futile at the time but being able to recite the codes of conduct was also push ups for the brain to help us remember flight systems and emergency procedures. This is another uninformed move by the Democrats. Now it is impossible to begin impeachment hearings while under investigation by the special counselor. Congress just shot off their off their own foot. Mueller must find and provide verifiable evidence to the grand jury. The majority of the grand jury must agree that there has been a crime committed before impeachment can even be considered. Congress can not even ask to subpoena documents or evidence because it is under investigation of the special counsel. Providing false evidence to influence the investigation is a criminal offense. Mueller is not restricted to investigate only Trump and Russia but has the scope to investigate any and ALL misdeeds discovered during the investigation. How much time will be required to finally end the investigation? In the meanwhile Democrats should be careful what they say else they may be charged with obstruction of justice.

I have some knowledge of the benefits of free education free utilities and free housing by living in Ukraine for several months over several years. My wife has a nephew that has the equivalent degree of a BS in mining engineering. but now has his own hauling business. After graduation, he had no desire to work in a coal mine and thus chose another career. I asked him why he chose mining as a career if he did not want to have this career. He told me that his free education was chosen for him and he had no other choice unless he could get acceptance at another University and pay for his education. If you do not work in a field related to your education then you are required to pay some of the expenses back Education is free but you have no choices other than the one dictated by the government.

I stayed at my wife's old apartment. It only had 3 rooms and a small tiny bath. Total square footage of about 500 sq ft. This is about average for a family of 4.
There is a small fee for heating, water, sewer and trash pickup for about 3 dollars a month. Electricity is metered and but you pay about 5 dollars per month. Sounds good right. Electricity service is not dependable and is often unavailable but mostly at night. There is no running water after 9PM every day. Heating is available when the government decides and the dates of service depends on the local budget. Under normal circumstances the heat is turned on usually by the first of November and turned off the middle of March. The outside temperature is not a factor. It is not unusual for snow and freezing rain in late September and October so the residents are left in the cold. The same can said for March. Trash pickup is erratic so most of the Dumpsters are overfilled and wind and animals scatter trash all over. Even though the apartment is privately owned the building is owned and poorly maintained by local government.

Living conditions for the "poverty stricken" here exceeds the condition of the average citizen there.

The evidence and the transcripts from Flynn and the Russian Ambassador conversation are "classified" documents. The only crime committed was allowing the transcript to be released to the media. The "unmasking" of Flynn violates legal and ethical protocols of the intelligence community because at the time he was a private citizen and not an government official. In other words, because the information was leaked and a crime was committed, the evidence gathered for ( but not "in" )the commission of a separate crime (leaking classified information") is tainted and is not admissible.as evidence.

Flynn had the right to gather information from the Russian ambassador not unlike you or me and his conversations could possibly defuse a diplomatic crisis with Russia created by a false narrative spun by the former administration. Where is the transcript of the FBI's interview with Hillary Clinton? Why are only a brief hand written in the form of notes description of the interview available to the public and to the justice department? Why was her testimony not recorded as is the usual procedure? Why was she not sworn in as is the usual procedure? This is a major failure by the FBI under the Comey's guidance as director of the FBI. Why does a known crime of leaking classified information have a lower priority in the FBI than the suspected crime of collusion in a Presidential election with a foreign government which has so far not produced any concrete evidence as verified by the former DNI chief and the fired former assistant Attorney General. Now there are suspicions that the DNC computers were leaked by a disgruntled staffer and an ardent Bernie Sanders supporter and not by Russian hacking. That DNC staffer was shot in the back last summer in "botched robbery" but nothing was taken. The local police were "allegedly" told to "stand down" on the investigation by someone higher up. That staffer's personal computer can not be found as the personal computer is always in evidence in a homicide investigation. The DC police claim that it was taken by the FBI but the FBI claims that the DC police have it in custody as evidence. If this was a simple "botched robbery," Why and how was the FBI involved? Why did the FBI allow the DNC server to be examined by an analyst paid by the DNC and be denied access to more skilled government intelligence analysts? If a foreign government was involved in the hacking of the DNC computer this would be a threat to national security and the intelligence community should be all over this.

It is a wonder that Comey lasted as long as he did and now the left and the media is crying foul claiming that the firing was motivated to impede the Russian investigation. The present assistant FBI director testified that there have been no interference by either the White House or the Department of Justice and the investigation will continue as before.He also testified that the narrative of Comey asking for additional funds for the Russian investigation is false and he stated that the FBI has adequate resources to continue as before.

I do not doubt that the earth has warmed in the past 100 years. The question is how much? The technology of temperature measurement and reporting has vastly improved. The historical average temperature measurements was with a less accurate measuring devices and validity of reporting data has greatly improved. To use historical temperature data to draw scientific conclusions is the same as comparing apples to oranges. The same analogy pertaining to atmospheric CO2 also applies. Using the Arrehnes (SP) model, calculations and the measurement of atmospheric CO2, the average temperature should be about 2 degrees C but the latest data shows a percentage of the predicted rise in temperature. I believe that global warming exist to some degree but reduction of man made production of green house gasses will have very little effect. This does not mean that we as individual should not strive to reduce our production of CO2. Plant a tree, grow your own vegetables and compost so we can use natural methods of CO2 remediation.

The greatest culprit in the emission of CO2 is China and India. Obama's Paris accord on climate change does not reduce the emission requirements for the largest CO2 emitters until 2025 while other industrialized countries in Europe and the US face stringent requirements in the next few years.
